There's actually a better reason for him not saying why it's a bad draw but it's a spoiler so I won't mention it.

2023-12-09 20:28:11 +0000 UTCi saw a comment here theorizing why he didn't say bad draw - the contingency to his ability is that each weapon is drawn at a bad time, or is inconvenient OR that in order to goad the clown on into being annoying. Either way, he knew this would be the last draw he had, so didn't say it.

Maybe check the previous episode's preview or watch them in your own time but I think you'd find them really fun!
