Originally hailing from the Cougar tribe, Athena and her sisters were ambushed by a group of Shaft Beasts while patrolling the nearby blighted lands. Losing her family to the monstrosities and watching as they were warped into horrid abominations of tit- and cock-flesh, she barely escaped to rally her tribe for aid. But the Cougar tribe leaders would not be moved, claiming the sisters weak to fall to such corruption, and would not deploy a warband to help retrieve them. Athena departed in disgust, eventually finding her way to and joining Ruddersmacke, incensed by their new leader's crusade to unite the tribes against threats like the Shaft Beasts, Prudes, and other dangers looming on the periphery of the Tribelands.
