Poll #1 - Vote for a Romance Short!

Hi, everyone!

It's time for my first Patreon poll. 😄 With Charlotte’s Reject going into revisions for eventual publishing, I want to switch gears and write a romantic short. Shorts are tricky, but practice makes perfect! I'm at a tangled crossroads, so please vote for the idea you like the most. I'll leave this up a week (or until a clear winner emerges).

Option 1. To Love a Goddess: Summer - Gar arrives at the bustling city of Caliah in search of the mysterious night feast and Aristhre, the goddess who has his heart. But all is not as it seems, and the unfamiliar urban surroundings only serve to cloud Gar’s mind further. What is real and what is illusion? Is he simply being used as a plaything of the gods?

Option 2. Mecha Kiss - It’s year one of the Oligarch War, and the “easy win” against the Freecaps has turned into a murderous battle of attrition. Endless attacks by drone swarms and AI rigs is grinding the 4th Line Infantry into wreckage, and things are getting worse. The noose may be tightening around Departure City and its space elevator, but Technician Lawrence Brier is starting to think the rope will snap before victory arrives. That's when the brilliant and beautiful Captain Maxine “Max” Simms comes up with an idea that might make all the difference...if she can get Lawrence’s help. Too bad she's just as likely to kill him in one of her post-battle rages. Of course, to win an impossible war you have to expect an occasional helmet chucked at your head.

Option 3. Bullets and Beams: A Hopeless Shootout - When an overdue Federal Unity Admin arrives to oversee the Hopeless penal colony, Convict Marshal John Young is wary. He’d expected a bureaucrat, not a veteran with a buzz cut and enough internal ware to qualify as planetary contraband. Turns out he was right to assume the worst. Cee Ledoux is here because outlaws have come down the gravity well, and since the residents of Hopeless are restricted to pre-electricity tech, she may be the only person with the means to stop them. Still, John’s job would a lot easier if this killing machine wasn’t such a damn looker. He wasn't sure if Cee still qualified as human, but she sure as hell kissed like a woman.

Option 4. Sunglasses in the Rain - Drywell wasn't a town, it was a collection of buildings aspiring to be a wide spot in the road. As the night attendant of Drywell’s lone gas station, Calvin Keller was expecting to be the first documented case of death by boredom—until he met Mel. A storm chaser whose small frame contained enough sparks to blow-up the fireworks stand across the street, Mel was funny, sexy, and always wearing a pair of vintage shades. Cal had never met a shifter before, but he was beginning to think Mel might be one. It didn't change how hopelessly smitten he was. If only cute flirty storm chasers went for bored and boring gas station clerks! But this was before the most terrifying night of Cal’s life, the night when the mother of all storms arrived to wipe Drywell off the map…along with every secret between them.
