Hah, agreed! Getting to work with sunlight was the best part. (oops enter key) Thankee, I was lucky to find two references at just the angle I wanted. And yeah, public hangings are definitely an *aesthetic*, not shocking to see Omegites deploy it to the fullest. I think the juxtaposition of church and gallows got the message across - something I haven't drawn since ye olde Docs. (phhhht vandalism how dare)

Kinda funny to realize that, other than the snippets with Smarmy, Skin-y and Growly, we've spent a LOT of time inside/underground! So it's like a breath of fresh air to see an outdoor setting. Holy shit yo' shadin' is on par af here. Those gallows look tight. I find it fascinatin' that this is still a thing -- obviously killin' heretics and their ilk will never NOT be a thing, but in this method. Speaks a lot to Sirca as a society, and the way the House strives for as much feverish indoctrination as possible. Nothin' gets folks rallied to your cause like a nice, public hanging. (And don't think I didn't notice that stained glass window, pretty as hell even if ever fiber of my being wants to paint a big ol' line right through it)
