Thannnnks it was - I could spend an extra minute touching up that light pattern, was a mess. But I dug the thought of it too much to resist, so glad it still looks nice. phhht yeah, mutual!glares from pup squad in the corner panel was a delight to draw, haw. Ugh yeah, hate how fun Counselor dialogue can be, but it's REALLY easy to picture the voice, like ya said. Had a great VA in the show. Always represent Shinji's dad, always. (I live for your tortured *hnghs* you poor bastard)

2021-03-31 06:38:54 +0000 UTCGAWD so many moods 'n emotions 'n shit, mang. The setting here is *bomb*, amazing goddamn job with the setpiece of this whole room. The lighting, the shadows, the colors all play hand in fawkin' hand. I like that it's ominous enough that the dumb-ass-elevator-crew BARELY even throws light onto it. Wash 'n York's faces in the second to last panel :allears: Damn, the Counselor looks good, too, his glance over his shoulder, again, you can just *hear* that voice, it's fawkin' on-point. Great design, great facial expression/eye in that over-the-shoulder angle, hell yeah. And oh yeah ALSO THE DIRECTOR, pre-emptive *all the fuck that guy*. Love him emerging from light, though, such a fawkin' bad-guy-move, makes that perfect backlighting sitch. His glasses, peak Shinji's-dad, his face, ready for punchin'. (And of course you give him the doucheiest possible intro line, approved :ashe:) Lookin' forward to what comes next! By which I mean uh. Y-yeah. Hngh.
