(Maine!grr @ children) Heh YEAH though, drawing these weird lil' shapes and spindly limbs without having to get too complex, it's nice. Kid NPCs a-OK in my books. And then KID DIALOGUE - bless all the dumb 80s-90s kid action I been watching, cursing and all. Happy that their reaction jives with ya so far, just that weird middle-ground of not-sure-what-the-fuck and who-cares-let's-play. lmao though, this scene DO stretch a lil' longer than most because it WILL hit the "explanations and bullshit" for a page. I adore all the different emotes you get to pull out -- Red Kid in 1, Orange Kid in 4 are my favorites (but her last one is also a winner) ...lmao tubby gotta point 'bout being able to lose weight vs. fix feet but MAN I do love the overall sense of "okay so he looks like a freak but do we have a concept of aliens or monsters or whatever would normally make kids freak out or are we just kids who see another kid who happens to look weird but is otherwise just a kid?" THAT is the mood you strike right on the head, 'n I love it. It fits perfectly, and allows this scene to happen as it does without dealing with 29 pages of explanation and bullshit and made-up stories to get them to accept the 'yooman. They *just accept him*. 'S nice, lady. (Drawing kid bodies must be fun, too, just all fawkin' limbs 'n over-expressionate-faces, haha)
