Mmmmmm poor Cone trying to scowl his way out of getting Stonewall Sarge'd. Hell yeah, that purple-orange palette got exploited af. Glad it sets the right tone and casts the right shadows. Fawkin' Sarge is the poster boy for the Red Army, you bet. There's all sorts of dumb reasons to join the war (government compulsion aside), but at the heart of it is *traditiion* and u gno how hard it is to paddle against that. ...and gwaha yeah, Sarge's brand of short-n-stocky fun to draw.

Cone is just gettin' the short end of every stick throughout this bit and oh man oh man. It hurt but it also done SO well. I LOVE your use of colors here. Wash standing in front of rocks -- his greys are warm. Standing with the emptiness, they're cool. It's such a nice touch. The mood is good as shit. Mmmmmmmm your Sarge so on point here, though. Like -- his whole THING in panel 4 is comical...and yet. It isn't? You capture that REALLY well, the way we could laugh at everything he says, but he *believes* it. He has no reason to believe otherwise, Red Army is his *life*. That's that. It's a powerful moment that shows what a hard argument this is, especially with the way Wash is goin' about it. Oh man, though -- the faces from 5-8 :farasweat: Really gorgeous. Cone throwin' his arms up in six is hella fine, especially, Sarge got a *presence* 'bout him despite being shorter (he IS a thick fella, though, reminds me of Sammy's build, even if I'm sure the armor is puttin' a bit more on 'im, too) But the framing of the last two, FUCK YES. Sarge storming toward camera-right as Wash glares after him, then Wash slumping off with that look of defeat to camera-left. Oh boy oh boy. It's delicious, lady. Gimme those sweet lumps.
