What's Next???

**Edited to add-- Option two should be "Melodrama by Lorde" NOT LDR. My apologies! **

Hi, everyone! My intentions were to post a new The Little Prince video and an "Afterglow" analysis today...but as they say, "the highway to Hell is paved with good intentions". I have to take care of some family stuff, so no video today. That being said, I plan to do both videos early next week. I do have a couple questions, though--

1. Are there any other Lover tracks that you really want me to analyze? After I analyze "Afterglow", I will have covered all of my favorites. However, I can do any and all of the tracks if you guys want! Just let me know in the comments!

2. What's our next Patreon exclusive?? You guys gave me some great ideas a couple of weeks ago. I will say that if I decide to analyze the Blue Banister album, I will do so on YouTube. I also plan to do more poetry analysis on YouTube as well. And, of course, I am going to keep going through the Red vault tracks on YouTube.

For Patreon, though, we have some great options that you all suggested! Please take the poll below to vote on our next exclusive album analysis-

**Again, option two should be "Melodrama" by Lorde"! Sorry, guys ❤❤❤**

You know, I've thought about this a few times: but if everyone and, especially, our dear english teacher, agrees, when we're done with Melodrama we can do the other three. This way everyone gets a chance to get the album(s) they voted for analysed ☺️

Super late to this but you should totally check out Maisie someday! She is pretty much Taylor and Ed's long lost daughter and her lyricism shows it so clearly! The amount of characterisation in YSUFT (the title track) will blow your mind... I promise!

Thank you so much for sharing!!!

What I'd recommend for everyone here to give a listen is an album called 'Crimson' by a band called 'Sentenced'. They(the band) are from my hometown Oulu, Finland. Genre-wise I'd call it light rock with heavy sounding guitars. The lyrical themes are extremely melodramatic, sometimes, for me, even lacking subtlety. At the same time it gives more of the male perspective to similar themes we've been witnessing here mainly by the female writers. The band's music can be found on Spotify, for example. I recommend this band's music, because it's just something different, without being too far from the norm of the community (this patreon).

I'm late to the party but so glad Melodrama won - not sure if you've already started but i think it would be so cool if you started at the beginning and went in order cause the whole album really has an overarching story to it that plays out in chronological order ☺️

I've heard really good things!

Ahhh the Ed Sheeran album is so good. I'm so sad that one didn't win. Divide and Equals (his new one) are both really beautiful albums!

I would love for you to do all the Lover tracks! Specifically False God as that's a personal favorite of mine.

I’m sad Lemonade isn’t getting more votes. I think it’s the best album ever made. And I’m a TS fanatic.

No pressure! I just think her lyrics are right up your alley and her voice is gorgeous. She used to be mine, satellite call, Orpheus are all great options!

Hmmmmm...I hadn't really thought about it! haven't listened to Sara Bareilles since high school. I'll definitely consider it! Love you and thank you for being here!

I am not familiar with Maise, but I've heard so many good things! And yes--let's just finish out all of the Lover tracks! I love this idea ❤❤❤

Oooh yeah, it’s nice to have a friend reads like a poem — that would be fun!

I would love to hear your thoughts on It’s Nice To Have A Friend or False God, if it’s Englishy enough!

London Boy plz!!

I would love to hear your thoughts on all of the lover tracks! I love that album so much. As for the rest my most preferred would be Maisie and Ed ☺️ Divide is a such a great album and Maisie was “raised” by Taylor and I think it shows in her lyrics 🥰

Iolita Kovatchki

I know you're not taking requests at this time, but have you considered Sara Bareilles music? Her songs are divine and have a lot of literary devices. Love you and thank you for the content!

I can do that ❤❤❤

English Teacher KP

Ooo so many good options! I would love an analysis of The Man and I think he knows too! 😊

Stacey Hall

You signed up for this is so good!! I think you would particularly enjoy Elvis Song!!
