Desert Temple
Added 2024-07-13 05:01:01 +0000 UTCI continued this week with trying to fill in my catalogue with some desert locations, and I think this temple could be either active or long abandoned. After making a few of these desert scenes recently I feel like I have to send my players into the sands. I really want to make them sweat it out and feel the heat of the current summer. I'd like to make a few more desert locations that would perhaps be other good places to send a party. Leave a comment if you have a suggestion.

Matthias has covered a lot, but I wish to also add: - A salt lake with heat shimmer - Something dead with carrion birds circling above/feeding - An abandoned settlement (like the elvish tent one you did but with ruined tents) - Massive ruined/toppled statues in the middle of nowhere - A portal in the middle of nowhere (like the forest portal you did but desert-themed)

A lot of suggestions for the desert: - A house with a dry garden - Cliffs - Trade Route - Caravanserai, maybe with desert mount stables (giant lizards? camels? beetles?) - Underground tunnels - Forgotten and buried tomb - A piece centered around desert night, with day being the alternative (bonus points if some alternate is without stars, but thats just a wish :P ) - Cave / shelter from the sun under rocks - Sand Skimmer port - Hideout in some rocky mountains adjacent to a sand desert (think: Sassi, Lycian Tombs) - Underground city w/ entrances visible - Stone desert (grey, rocky instead of yellow and sandy) - Just a desert with a huge mountain in the distance, think lonely mountain - Fortress for desert patrols - Oasis village (very small, just a couple of huts) - A forest, but the trees are withered stone - A molten glass lake - A sand fall + sand lake - more campsites - More HUGE structures. Spires. Temples. Mountains. Cities. Rock, glass, metal formations! Mirages! Maybe you get some inspiration from that. Some generic, some not. Thanks for your hard work! Please please please so much more desert!
