Blue Dragon Lair

This week I worked with Morvold Press, who made the map to go alongside my scene for this location. I've tried to make more desert locations recently and I've got what I think would be the basis for the Blue Dragon Lair, which is a ruined amphitheater with a large shattered statue fallen atop the stands, and a large sinkhole near the center. A blue dragon digs its lair under desert ruins and the hole in the ground is the main clue and entrance to this creatures domain. The dragon could potentially be somewhere in the stands, either perched atop the remnants of the statue staring down, or breathing lightning down, etc...

Let me know what you think of this location and if maybe you'd like to see more possible dragon lairs in the future.

Keep the desert scenes coming!!

John Berner

This is amazing for my Storm Kings Thunder campaign!! Thank you! SKT has some really cool locations that might be worth creating in the future :)

Apologies for the delay - the links should be corrected. As others have said - the links have changed and it can be tricky to create the old links that do not expire. Thanks for your patience. Thank you to the Patrons who suggested the Master Tier lists as everything will always be accessible there!

James’rpgart

They are there at the very bottom of the list.

Ditto !

From another reply, each tier has its own master post. This scene doesn't look like it's added yet, though: Adventurer's Apprentice (Tier 1) - Master Post https://www.patreon.com/posts/adventurers-tier-109727596 Tavern Regular (Tier 2) - Master Post https://www.patreon.com/posts/tavern-regular-2-110111352

Thanks! I do notice this scene isn't added to those yet. Any guess how long that usually takes?

Same problem here with expired links

Here are the other Master Lists: Adventurer's Apprentice (Tier 1) - Master Post https://www.patreon.com/posts/adventurers-tier-109727596 Tavern Regular (Tier 2) - Master Post https://www.patreon.com/posts/tavern-regular-2-110111352

Link expired for me

Joao Brito

That only works for the $6 tier.

Katieclysm

I see what everyone is talking about with the link expiration but what do you do to download the content if you can't access the master list?

Deathtothemortals

I've read in another Patreon, that Patreon changed the way links works: The “new links” generated by Patreon are now links that expire in 24 hours. What's more, the content of a “new link” is accessible to all, subscribers and non-subscribers alike. I imagine that Patreon's aim is to make our posts private, without links, visible only to subscribers. This applies only to new links, not to old links dating from before September 26, 2024. So everything's OK for old posts and for the master lists.

Vogliadicone

The links in the master lists are working. So f.e. this one: https://www.patreon.com/posts/dungeon-master-3-110115577

The scene links say they're expired

This is great! And yes the dragon lairs idea is really good. I like the white (ice) and brass (canyon) ideas of Nyla above!

James

Your work is lovely~ I think creating scenes and maps for both outside, inside, and the hoards of chromatic, metallic, and crystal dragons is an amazing idea. It is one thing to try and describe a hoard of a dragon and another thing entirely to show it. Not to mention how each species of dragon across the 3 main types each have different items that they value and different environments that they call home can lead to amazing scenes. Some that come to mind are frozen vaults of treasure embedded in the ice of a white dragon's icey caves or a brass dragon's gallery of paintings and statues arranged to be almost lifelike within a dessert canyon.
