Vote here for Steam Pathbuilder 2e
Added 2019-11-25 12:18:17 +0000 UTCIf you want my next project to be Steam Pathbuilder 2e, then favourite this post.
I have plans to develop a PC version of Pathbuilder 2e and make it available via Steam for PC. The advantage of this over a web version is 1) I can reuse my java backend and just remake the UI in javafx, 2) Steam can handle the financial side of things and keep the app updated. 3) There are no ongoing server costs 4) My web skills are pretty shonky.
The Steam version would have all the functionality of the android version, plus the ability to open multiple builds in tabs, and share builds with the android version via cloud storage. Longer term, I'd also like to add the bestiary, dice rollers, iniiative tracking, and GM tools to manage their players' characters (eg connect directly to each other and allow the GM to see an up to date characters and buff/debuff). Basically the extra real estate on screen gives a lot more options for things to do.

It will all work offline, aside from the connectivity stuff.

Will you support an offline version that still supports everything except for just the features that actually require a connection?
2019-11-27 19:00:21 +0000 UTCYes it would. The Steam version would act like a server taking websocket connections from the players, allowing instant communication between them, Player's buffing each other is something I've had on my mind for a while, and I like this serverless solution.

2019-11-27 16:32:51 +0000 UTCWhen connection between GM<>Players is enabled, would it also include Player<>Player? Such as me giving another player a buff without going through the GM? Or if I want to just hand them some money, give them a sword I no longer need, etc?
