It looks like Animist by default is giving 2 focus spells. it should be 1. The part quoted in your apparition attunement is actually from the medium portion on focus points for dual invocation. Under Vessel spells it says "It costs 1 Focus Point to cast a focus spell, and you start with a focus pool of 1 Focus Point. "
