This was the first time I posted the video early to Patreon, and it's nice to receive feedback while I worked on the details like thumbnail and description.
I tried something here in which I used a light pointed at the back of my head to signal HEY this one looks a little more ~*cinematic*~ to prompt you that a speech with no cooking involved is coming up. I definitely have to work on that some more. Even though it looked good on a 7-inch screen, I later realized that the light catching on my ear fuzz was providing enough contrast for the camera to want to focus on that instead of my eyes. The result is a kind of uncomfortable "is that a green screen" effect
I tried to keep this vague enough to not point fingers at anyone. In fact, I reached out to Josh from Mythical Kitchen to read him my notes, knowing that he has a podcast called "Is a Hot Dog a Sandwich?" (and also knowing that reddit loves to expose me as a cyberbully). The funny part about keeping it so vague is that some of the comments are along the lines of "wow this is really similar to Adam Ragusea you guys should collab!"
Attached is the thumbnail I was mere seconds away from posting. You have the Discord to thank for its death.

I would wager you experience even more gear-grinding than I since you make such wild stuff especially for vegans. The double whammy!

LOVE this!! I do wish more creators would mention where they got inspiration for recipes. Thats my thing and I get on people hard for it. Its impossible, like you said to always track a recipes very specific origin, but if I was inspired by you to make hummus.. I will definitely let everyone know. I constantly get comments on how I'm not making something right or an incredible amount of comments on how my food isn't healthy. I kinda feel like I should make a similar video now.. want to get hated together? hahah

This is great man. I've actually been living with someone who keeps telling me the "right way" to cook. This video helped me lose the exhaustion I've had with them and get back some confidence

Hey! Best "non cooking" video you've done so far. And I kinda saw my name too! Thanks!
