There used to be a menswear site called "Four Pins" with a female guest writer who had a column called "The Skirt". One article I was never able to forget was called "How to Date a Girl Without Being a Little Bitch About it", and this video's title is a mental tribute to that post since I haven't been able to find it in years. Got any better title ideas?
I buy my coffee from Trade. They were my first paid ad, and I actually stuck with the subscription. I didn't want to shout them out here, though. NO FREE SMOKE
Back in March, my finger was hovering over the mouse ready to click "checkout" on a $500 coffee setup complete with v60 supplies, just because I read online that it was the right move. Luckily I had the foresight to imagine myself going through that ritual every single morning throughout quarantine and settled on an automatic coffeemaker. I hope to prevent someone from doing what I almost did.
I don't want this video to come off as anti-hobbyist— I think making coffee is a legitimate source of enjoyment for a lot of people. I do also think, however, that the pursuit of accessible luxury is just a different brand of consumerism, and I'm not personally interested in spending too much time at that altar every morning.

As someone with 2 French presses of varying sizes, an aeropress and 2 varying size moka pots, this video wasn’t for me but still wanted to know your take on the matter. Very well reasoned!

Watching this plus the "how to wash dishes without the existential dread" video finally pushed me over the edge to become a Patron.

My favorite defense of the French press was “it’s the most amount of bullshit I’m willing to go through before I’ve had any coffee in the morning” and that’s stuck with me every time I decide how anything I do in the morning should be done
