GCAC Entry 1 - Poster

Hello guys^^

I have to say, I've been working on many digital drawings, lately, but didn't have the chance to show them, yet XD One of them is this first entry for the "GalaCon Artist Competition" (shortly named GCAC by me lol). As the name says, the GalaCon is currently holding an artist competiton and I decided to join, so I had to work on two tasks until the end of October. The first task was it to create a poster for GalaCon, dealing with the theme "Winter Wonderland" and showing Canni Soda in a winter-ish environment or scene. We were also allowed to add the other mascots, Sani Soda and Wachmann, if we wanted to^^

I think Canni all alone would have been a liiittle too empty, so I decided to add the other two, showing a little funny scene in the foreground. Sani threw a snowball right into Wachmann's face, who definitely isn't amused XD Canni, on the other...hoof (?) prefers enjoying the wonderful snowy atmosphere, the clear, cool weather and magical sparkling environment^^

In the background, we see parts of the con building, the Forum - that says we can't wait for next year :D

I had fun working on this piece because of it's simplicity but also, in my opinion, strong appearance when it comes to colours, harmony and composition. I'm glad with how the result turned out and like the characters' expressions :) Designing a new, individual font for GalaCon and the theme was a little tough since I'm not that good when it comes to calligraphy and so on, but I'm pleased with the outcome, so I could imagine it to become official...in a way XD
