Artist's Passion (Contest Entry)

Hello everyone,

this what you see here is my contest entry for Draw With Jazza's Challenge of the Month in November 2017 under the title "Under The Surface" :)

Admitately, I fetched the boundaries a bit in my opinion since I had a very abstract idea for the drawing itself. Instead of making some kind of x-ray picture, I decided to draw something possibly artists see but others might not.
What you see is an artist drawing with a normal pencil on a sheet of paper (drew my own hand so to speak as a modell), working on their next artwork - a humming bird. Now, this is where the exciting part takes in: You can see a cycle going on where in the artist's veins run blood, sweat and tears for this shows the passion and power making them continue to become one of the greats. The liquids flow on the sheet of paper, creating the artwork, making themselves the real material the artist works with, making their artwork coming to life for them as they are the creator.
This piece is supposed to show what a creator really puts into a piece, the effort, time, patience and, as I mentioned, blood, sweat and tears. Yes, it even took some tears and drops of sweat from myself working on it and blood coming from the deepest of my heart <3

Although it's not my absolute favourite, I am so proud of what I've created here and it means so much to me how this turned out. I know there are sooo many fantastic artists contributing to this challenge, but I just wanted to try as possibly one of the youngest from the open category with 17, but I wanted to try and make this idea I had come true^^

I really hope you like this traditional piece on black paper, made with coloured pencils and I am looking forward to your feedback! :D

Ahh nice to see something abstract every once in a while. :) Let the surrealism flow freely! Although I'd highly recommend a stop-off at the impressionism of early 1900s France. ^_^
