Eagle Portrait

What you see here is a painting I created around two months ago. It's a birthday present for my Grandpa on the 10th May this year^^ He loves eagles and so I wanted to paint one for him on a canvas with paint.
There we go^^ I practiced my painting skills and some brush techniques with this piece, just focussing on the head and neck of the bird itself so I could do that quite detailed. I must say, I am quite pleased with the result of this since drawing birds or eagles in particular is something I've never been that good in, so that's a small milestone for me^^ I think the proportions and overall esthatic turned out very well and brings the attention to the bird :)
