Slime

Hey everyone^^

Last month, I got challenged by someone to do the 30 Minutes Challenge, attempting to draw a Slime from the Dragon Quest series^^ This someone was SnowVillier and this is why this painting is dedicated to him :D

Although I'm pretty sure this is not what he'd hoped for (perhaps more in a comic-like style like from the original game instead of making it look semi-realistic), I am happy I've done this challenge, anyway. It's been a good practice and, of course, challenge for me to improve my artwork and technique.

I really prefer the finished and refined version over the 30 Minute Challenge I've made out of it :) I wasn't too disappointed with the first version, but I've seen so many flaws and a lack of detail, so I decided to take another 30 to 40 minutes to make it look clean. I'm happy I've done the challenge but Others have done way better in that time. There you see that I have to work faster or at least have to learn how to use my time, effectively. However, for my first attempt I don't think it's something to be ashamed of. In fact, I can imagine doing this more often from time to time to get better with every time.

I want to thank SnowVillier for suggesting this challenge and piece. I'm sorry it's not exactly what you've been hoping for, but I hope the next time the result will suffice. I am grateful for this request and your patience. Thank you *hug* Hope you like it a bit, anyways.
