Calm Water Dude

Hey guys^^

A while ago I sketched this cute little Otter dude during class and just felt like creating a furry picture of some sort by simply only using black and white with a pen^^ Without a huge intention behind it, we now get this new piece from it!

Otters are such cute and cool creatures! While they're adorable little beans swimming in water when you watch photos and videos of them, in the furry fandom they're often known as adventurous and fun loaded characters and exellent swimmers, surfers and water sports in any way heh. So I went with with a mixture between these: I wanted this one to look kind on one hand and ready to go surfing on the other. I gave him a shark teeth necklace and a relaxed expression, slighly loose swimming pants and the already mentioned surf board after some re-consideration^^ There you go!

I had fun using my pen with small lines to create that furry look to him, not exactly shading this time but framing his fur and whiskers and to bring out the different colours mixed in his fur. It doesn't really have the quality of a colouring book image, but I find it esthetic nonetheless. He looks so cute^^ Pretty happy with how he turned out.
