Colour Creatures (Red)

Hey everyone!

A while ago I came up with an own concept for a story with my own characters but rather creatures in general. It just happened to come up in my mind, dealing with colours as my main focus.

These are so called Colour Creatures, a spirit-like species that lives among us unnoticed. Their task is it to bring colour in this grey world, to create all the different shades and colour tones we know on earth. From turning the water blue and the grass green to making butterflies or colouring the leaves orange and yellow in fall - they are responsible for that.

Now that I slightly lost connection to this project, which was originally planned to be a Graphic Novel some day, I thought I should at least colour in the traditional lineart I came up with.

The basic idea behind this is that there is an uncountable amount of colour creatures, one different from the other. We have 3 main "grown up" creatures - the 3 primary colours Red, Yellow and Blue. Their "oldest children" are the secondary colours Orange, Green and Purple. The small ones follow as the "youngest children", everyone of them having a specific task of them. Some create plants and flora, others animals, fauna or other objects on this planet.

Red is the most passionate one. Representing not only fury or anger, it also represents intensitiy and love, mainly being responsible for fire and lava. Nevertheless it's the leader of the red creatures which go from a dark magenta to a bright orange. The warmest clan of them all, to say so. You can even see a small creature creating a flower in the foreground. And this is what they do, also being very happy and proud of their destiny of making the world a more colourful place^^

I really hope you like this concept of mine and this a little rough drawing of mine. Wanted to keep it simple and kinda realistically painted at this point. Looking forward to your feedback :D
