:COMM: Happy Mares

I've got a new Commission to show to you and it's for :iconlimedreaming: :D He asked me to draw a group picture of his OC Lime, Applejack and :iconestories:' OC Silverlay, just happy headshots to spread some good mood.
Honestly, this was a very fun piece to work on with just the different shapes of noses and faces in general on these three mares, with their happy smiles really making me giggle inbetween as well and overall the harmonizing colour scheme :D I wanted the image to look soft and warm, kinda welcoming for the viewer so it would possibly make them happy, as well. This is also a reason for my choice of only showing their heads and necks but blurring out the rest of their bodies since I think completely drawing would have distracted too much from the overall atmosphere, kind of overloading the scene and also confuse the viewer. Their heads and smiles is what I wanted to focus on and what's important.
Since it was supposed to be a wallpaper I decided to only use some kind of colourful gradient in the background, perhaps a pattern or structure to support it and I went for soft squares blurred out, blending in. I admit, I really like the colours on this one XD Heh, the magic soft light, overlay and experiments with colours can do :D

Oh boy, now that you point it out it's obvious to me, too xD Toothpaste commercial. Clever and unintended coincidence^^ Funny. Thank you for your kind feedback :D Oh, really? I think Jacqueline is a very pretty name. Sad it has a more or less bad reputation in Germany. But I like it because it sounds french and elegant...and it's my Mother's name :P

AJ is SUCH a beauty... / My secret headcanon is that her full name would be Apple Jacqueline... :-) / Great job Lupz.
