Moment of Love

Hello everyone,

this drawing was the 2nd one for me to ever colour in with new drawing material, but it's way more than that: It's my entry for :iconestories:' "Moment of Love" drawing contest

I've struggled quite a while with an idea for this once again special drawing of us two since our relationship means the absolute world to me plus combining the challenge from the contest with this piece, so I wanted to draw something romantic that's also standing out in it's topic. it had to be special and not too cliched compared to the common ideas of walks underneath the moonlight (which I love) or kissing moments (which I also love haha), it had to be something different and I jumped from one idea to the next one. Since I then didn't decide, I settled on some kind of tribute to a movie (and a scene) that really got me when I watched it as a kid and yet still: I'm referring to the movie "Spirit - Stallion of the Cimarron" in which we see Spirit and Rain go for a swim together, deeply falling in love. i wanted to convey the exact same feeling with this drawing.

This is the scene I wanted to make this tribute and reference for. It also contains one of my absolute favourite songs/melodies that always pops up in my mind when thinking about Snoopy and me. I totally mean that, it's just too beautiful :heart:

It's a moment of complete privacy, a time of us two alone, a calm scenario and romance is in the air while the sunset is slowly bringing the day to an end. Yet, Snoopy and Lupi here just care for each other in perfect harmony, even with differences coming together to a complete unity, overcoming these differences to still be there for oneanother and enjoying the moment, the warmth of the sunlight and the fresh water that makes them feel like they're floating. 

With this drawing, my love, I want to wish you a wonderful Happy Valentine's Day and overall beautiful moments, perhaps even with me by your side :heart: I love you with all of my heart and I want you and the whole world to know this. I'm more than happy and grateful to have you in my life.

I really hope you all like this drawing and that this might be a more or less good entry for the contest. Fingers crossed!
