A younger brother's courage

Heya^^

I want to continue with this series of childhood video game/ movie heros in traditional drawings by bringing to you a character I often could relate to: Luigi.

Luigi as a character not only has a charming design (he looks cute, his colours are sweet, Nintendo make him look different from his older brother Mario while still keeping some similarities for sure) but his personality is what truly makes him special for me. He is a kind, loyal and open-hearted character, caring for the ones he loves while never pushing himself in the spotlight. Instead, he cares more about the others than himself it seams, being a little shy, naive and clumsy he is as a person. All of these traits make him a wonderful character to me since most of them suit me and my personality as well. If there was one character hat I have to pick as my representation in a game or movie, I'd definitely choose Luigi. He could be the game form of me.

Luigi's Mansion is a game that sadly I never really owned or played for myself (only a small part of it) but I always enjoyed what I've seen of it - Let's Plays, the Soundtrack and characters. I wished I had a Game Cube and the game, meh. Oh well. It's sweet and one reason why I wanted to draw him like that, adding the slightly purple back light that sorta matches with his colour scheme and the game itself representing the ghosts he has to catch.
