:COMM: Family Curse

Hello everyone!

This is a commission from a few weeks ago that I sadly might have forgotten to properly upload. It's for @Rated_R_PonyStar and deals with a rather tragic topic as you can see but yet an interesting thought.

The commissioner came up with the idea, that the Apple Family might be cursed at a certain point, showing that every offspring has to grow up losing their father. We saw Bright Mac (The father of Applejack, Big macintosh and Applebloom) growing up with no father shown in the episode but we rather saw Granny Smith taking care ofhim herself, but we also know that his three foals also "lost" their father. This sadly might be an on-going story. Now we have Big Mac's son Sugar Mac having to deal with his father passing away... poor little him... however, at the funeral, Big Mac is not looking too bad and he even has a small, calm smile on his lips. It's better seeing him that way, isn't it?

This was quite a challenging commission if I am allowed to say so, but still one I would say I'm proud of. The characters themself weren't a problem, but I knew the flowers in Big Mac's coffin would take me a while. I chose to use a brush, that could create roses in any colour I wanted to safe a little bit of time, yet I decided to still keep the shading individually and do this by hand, creating at least a little bit of depth to the flowers. I hope it shows. And since Backgrounds are not my specialty, I had some issues with the scene around the ponies. I hope it doesn't show too strong.

Anyways, I like it, it's a decent outcome and I really hope you like it.
Thanks a lot to the commissioner for their patience with me and for allowing me to share this commission, I appreciate it a lot^^
