I'm glad you liked the show and will continue to react to it. It is a mech show, but it is character and story driven, which is why I like it so much. It' does such a good job at building up the characters to where you really start to like all of the cast. The mechs exist, but they are not the star of the show, even as they get more screen time later on, the focus is always around the characters.
