The Carrollton Bus Crash
Added 2021-11-09 11:15:01 +0000 UTCIn this video I include a quote from Harold Dennis Junior, a survivor of the crash who spoke about his experiences in the documentary Impact After the Crash. The documentary is definitely worth watching if you want to learn more about this disaster.
The good news is that - although he was severely burned in the disaster - Harold has gone on to have a long and successful life. He's won several sporting awards, and even carried the Olympic flame in 1996.
To this day he works as a motivational speaker, delivering talks on subjects such as self-acceptance and overcoming extraordinary circumstances. He even encourages other people to share their own stories of overcoming disaster and adversity.

I think I saw a picture of that while I was researching - a road sign marking the site where the crash took place. I wonder if that's all there is, or if there's a more traditional memorial that I haven't come across yet.

2021-11-24 15:53:12 +0000 UTCI talked to my parents about this last night (they live right outside King's Island) and they mentioned there's a memorial on the side of the road where it happened. Also your abundance of videos which involve Cincinnati and it's suburbs makes me glad I moved away!
