The I-35W Bridge Failure

To summarise, though, it was no doubt a horribly frightening experience... but everyone on the bus survived. 52 children and the 9 adults accompanying them all escaped through a fire exit at the back of the bus, or (in the case of those who were injured) were rescued by emergency workers. The bus driver even helped to carry one child to safety.
While this is overall a pretty tragic story, there are at least a few moments like this where, for some of the people involved, things turned out okay despite the odds.

2022-04-03 10:03:50 +0000 UTCThese design flaws and structural integrity issues are only addressed after a catastrophic failure. Much like the Surfside condo collapse in Miami. Now officials are trying to back pedal their way out of responsibility.
