The Secret of Pirates of the Caribbean

Like many of Disneyland's older rides, Pirates of the Caribbean has had an interesting life. Actual human skeletons aside, it started out with rather darker tone that it has today.
In the original ride (there's a mocked-up video of it here) the pirates were more murderous... and were also shown chasing women (or "wenches" as it said on a sign in one particular scene).
After complaints from guests, the content of the ride was altered... and then updated again when the Pirates of the Caribbean films came out. In fact, it's still being tweaked and changed today. Perhaps a ride like this is never truly finished.
