It's odd to think about Britain experimenting with biological weapons during World War II, but this story shows that it was very much something that was on the table.
There is actually some footage from the experiment. I didn't include it as I couldn't get the rights (and it's also not very pleasant to watch). If you're interested, though, a copy can be found here.
Everything about it, from the old hazmat outfits to the sheep in boxes and the old military hardware feels like something from an alternate reality. Very strange!

That's totally understandable. It's pretty upsetting footage - another reason not to include any snippets of it in the main video!

2022-11-29 11:47:15 +0000 UTCWow - this is a story I'd never come across before. I've seen Cirque du Soleil, and thought that they had a more-or-less spotless reputation for safety from the way people talked about them. Have added this to the list - would make a good anthology episode
