The Last Death of World War II

The death of Charles Havlat on the final day of World War II is all the more tragic when you look at the incredible things he survived during the war. He trained all over America, entered Europe via Scotland, crossed into the warzone via Omaha Beach, and battled tanks in the hedgerows of Normandy. His Battalion criss-crossed Europe, and fought in the Battle of Aachen, the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, and the Battle of the Bulge.

Having survived all that, Charles Havlat lost his life during a surprise attack while on patrol in Czechoslovakia. When fired upon, he took cover behind a jeep. As he returned fire a bullet hit him in the head and killed him instantly. Less than ten minutes later his patrol’s radio operator received word of the ceasefire, and they retreated back to safety. In his case, he really was just minutes from safety.

Sounds about right to me!

Fascinating Horror

I just know this man is at the gates of heaven cussing out everyone responsible for his death because that’s just ghetto as hell.

Cherie

Have added it to the list. I wonder what the cause was? I know there have been at least one or two accidents which started with people smoking in the washrooms..

Fascinating Horror

How about a video on Air Canada Flight 797? A fire of unknown origin started in the washroom of all places and killed half the people onboard.
