Collections are now on sale!

Hey friends, I decided to try out the new feature to sell posts or collections on a piece-by-piece basis. What does this mean for my patreon specifically?

This is a great way to support me if you do not want to subscribe/pledge every month and you are only interested in one series that Im currently doing or the full length version of one particular series.

In a way this is also similar to doing a yearly subscription/pledge instead of a month, its just more customizable. If you are sure you want to watch all of my reactions to one particular series, want them early and want full length, but you are not particularly interested in the other series Im having, then this is a sure way to get exactly that series and save 1-2 bucks in the process. As soon as the posts are available they will be there for you in the collection to access, for years to come.

I decided to sell COLLECTIONS. Which means (as far as I have understood it) that you are buying a complete collection, present posts and future ones. Which means for running series you will have access to all early access posts (so for series I have 2 weeks or more EA on that means access to all those posts) and you will also have (lifetime) access to the full length versions.

For series where there is no EA or only 1 week EA this will mean I will calculate the prices based on how many months worth of episodes you would get just pledging/subscribing to the lowest patreon tier (to get the full length) and reduce the price by 1-2 bucks. So in most cases you will fare about as cheap/expensive as pledging for all those months would get you, most probably less, since im reducing the price from there and since there will be inconsistencies in the release sometimes. Pauses, etc.

For 2 week early access of RUNNING series I have to calculate in the cost of the 2 week early access. So currently around 3 EUR / month. Add up the months and then reduce a bit. And I will have to calculate in the fact that you will have lifetime access to the full length version of that series, that should be worth at least a few bucks.

Lets use an example: Monster. Monster usually has 2 weeks EA at least. It has 74 episodes (I think). So assuming you keep subscribing for Monster you will have ) (74 - 30 (episodes already out) / 4 = 11 months worth of 2-week EA (3 EUR) which would amount to 3x11 = 33 bucks. So I would set the price for the entire Monster collection to 25 bucks Id say. We have to take into account weeks where there is nothing happening (so monthly subs would be even more expensive). I will also make a "full length only" playlist I think, where I will post the full length links 1 week before public release (as if you would be buying 'Student' tier) for people who do not want to pay the extra for the 2 week early access but are content with 1 week EA + full length access. That collection would probably cost around 10$ there. Less of a discount, but also a bigger package, the only thing you are missing out on in this case is the additional week or two of EA.

As I said, 2 week EA series will be calculated based on the Scholar tier (3 €/m), 1 week EA series based on Student tier (1 €/m) and series that are already finished will be based on the general interest plus the student tier (1 €/m), since the tier provides access to the full length

VERY IMPORTANT: As of now, I need somebody to help me figure out if you actually do have access to ALL the posts of a collection once you have bought it, regardless of if you are pledged to me on a monthly basis or not. Because that is relatively important to know. Ofc, if that is not the case, you can write me here on patreon and I will give you the links to all relevant posts/external full length links that you have purchased, and then I will figure out how to do this in the future. I do however assume that it will actually work.

Q: What is the difference between buying a collection and just pledging to the 1$ (Student) or 3$ (Scholar) tier?
A: The collection will be available to you FOREVER. So if you pledge to the Student (1$) tier you will get access to all my 1-week EA and full length stuff, FOR A MONTH. If you buy the collection you will get access to that particular collection FOREVER.
