monday π
Added 2024-08-05 13:18:08 +0000 UTChi everyone, i hope youβre all doing okay. my flight to new york was a little chaotic- we arrived without a hitch but couldnβt land due to weather conditions βοΈ circled for an hour, then ended up being redirected to boston. in the end, 25+ flights were redirected, we ended up stranded on the active runway for five hours, the plane ran out of fuel so we were all sat in the dark, eventually got rescued, and had to take a 6 hour coach at 4am back to jfk π΅βπ«π΅βπ« the whole thing is slightly hilarious in retrospect but my god. i was not laughing at 8pm, or 12am, or 4am.
anyway π i did arrive. took a shower, brushed my teeth, slept for two hours, then forced myself out before the agoraphobic nerves could set in. not too many photos to share just yet, but a small update for you as as i find my feet π·
itβs very hot here so iβm trying to pace myself and plan my days carefully. it feels like a bit of a precarious balancing act because i also want to make the most of my time, get good photos/video, explore, see friends, etc. i keep coming back to the hotel for small naps in the air con π
hopefully things will be unfolding a little smoother from now, and iβll look forward to sharing some more photos when i can- hopefully theyβre interesting!
iβll be at yoseka stationery fest on wednesday afternoon, which im pretty excited for ποΈ iβll have some stickers from the shop with me (as a gift) if anyone happens to spot me!
