Coronart doom!

The #coronart is rolling along, and some are even contributing music. So I made a little timelapse video with the music by Stian Søberg. Follow him at:

On another note, I'm pushing myself too hard, with homeschooling, work, coronart, daily monsters, and so on. I can't go on like this much longer without either going hypomanic or crashing or both. But I'm trying to find a way to balance it and tone it down somehow.

Anyhow...

#coronart day 8: Ground. Make art, support artists, from home!

Due to the lockdowns, artists have had exhibitions cancelled and postponed, which means a lot of hard work for nothing and a lot of income lost. Today I'd like to give a shout out to everyone who is taking matters in their own hand and doing virtual exhibitions. I have 3 examples, but please share any others who are doing it as well!

First, the gang around Shane Izykowsky and the Drawing From Experience Creative Community are having an open call for the Covid Creative Convention, which will open April the 1st. Contact them if you're an artist, vendor, or anyone who makes handmade art that has been affected by the epidemic. https://www.covidcreativeconvention.com/

Second, I was contacted by artist and friend Karina Nøkleby Presttun about her friend Kristina Aas who is arranging her own virtual exhibition. Check it out here :https://artspaces.kunstmatrix.com/en/exhibition/425663/constructiondeconstruction

Third, while searching the #coronart hashtag on Instagram I came over this open call for a virtual exhibition by a gallery in Germany called Galerie Biesenbach. I don't know anything about the gallery, hopefully they're cool, but this is the reason the #coronart hashtag is important, so that artists, galleries, and art lovers can reach out across the globe and help eachother. Check them out here: https://www.galerie-biesenbach.de/en/open-call-e

These are three examples of how to try and deal with this situation, and by spreading them under the #coronart hashtag we can hope they reach further and further around the world.

Coronart doom! Coronart doom!
