Orlando made shots and especially Bledsoe clanked a lot of shots. I just watched the last quarter but a big problem I see is Giannis doesn’t have a great move when they need him to get a bucket or at least not in this game. He kinda settled for jumpshots and those missed pretty bad.

Was confused why they didn’t play waiters with Danny and KCP chucking up bricks; I was shocked to see dame dancing in a game never thought I’d see it in my life but it makes a lot more sense after knowing they were playing blow the whistle. LeBron's effort even with a crowd is epitome of laziness, but I think he is even more passive in this bubble environment. Can't get energy off the crowd anymore Like the guy still has explosiveness but it's like watching a tortoise most of the time, like he doesn't have much stamina to spare except on offense.

Is a first round knockout gonna be the opening chapter of the rewrite of the AD-Pelicans trade package? Traded away every pick available and every young asset outside of Kuz for a Star. But how many centers could around the league could replace AD’s role and at least filled 80% of what he does? I really hope Dame’s got enough in the tank to light that fuse.

Portland's weakness is the size of their guards. Limits their ability to guard the other team's guards, and most teams offense comes primarily from the guard position. But not the Lakers. Their guards are only there to be outlet 3 point shooters. They're not running around bouncing off screens and getting open looks. Their offense flows through their bigs (Lebron)... Portland is built to guard bigs and plays good defensive bigs ... probably because they know they have to compensate for their guards. This is a really good match-up for Portland. The league is going to find ways to slant this more towards the Lakers ... because they really need Lebron to remain in the playoffs. But, you're right, this series is going to go long.

Portland had a very pedestrian shooting night. I think the big thing I see is that when LA doubles dame, his other guys can bury a 3 ball, but when the blazers double up In the paint to slow down Lebron and he kicks out, his guys are not always going to reward him for that. I think Dame still has a lot he can prove in this series and really leave his fingerprints on future games. I don’t think it will be easy, but if Portland takes game 2 I think they can pull this off. So Alc do you have any doubts in your original pick for this series?
