I know bam played good but cmon man its the joker. If golden state had a chance to choose between bam and the joker, i think its the joker 100% of the time. Lets see how bam does against LA’s bigs. The east rn is playing better basketball because all the teams are balanced and equals. Watch what happens in the finals and you gon be like this heat team is an overachiever and didn’t even have a chance!!! I think the nuggets are better team than the heat and west is still much better than the east!!

I was watching this, hearing your "who would you rather have", and thinking about Wiseman. They need to interview him, but I feel great about him skipping college. Who cares that he didn't sit in 50 hours of psychology class? He should be working on his handle instead. Too many bad reports on Edwards right now. Been thinking a lot about that Smart for #2/TPE trade. He could make a huge difference for the Dubs. But I am still hoping we get lucky enough to land two solid pieces with those two spots

But thoughts on the heat I would lime addressed: 1) elephant in room. seems a lot of us lived through kings v lakers and I do understand the thought of the finals as a forgone conclusion. You commented here yourself alch that it's betting against the nba in a way.. How much can/does the league act as puppeteer? 2) most of the regular season heat had Nunn, airplane mode, leonard and Silva playing way more minutes. Now there's igoudala and the rotation seems to have been tightened by whoever has strongest 2 way performance, favoring the players best team defense principles. Can the heat bring a bit more athleticism than we've seen in the bubble so far to counter lakers size? Why have Nunn and airplane fallen out of rotation? Defensive liability?

I know Kemba was a bit banged up but as a Celtics fan I was disappointed in him. All year we were talking about how he was a better fit than Kyrie and he showed flashes of taking games over when they needed him. The young C's needed his help as a vet and he didn't deliver. I'll give him a pass because it's year one but he bet not let it happen again or else I'm losing respect for the kid. The celtics need to run it back and look for a rim protector in the offseason.

Had the heat winning this in 5 or 6 and my Boston sports fan friend was all over me calling me a Boston hater, NAH the heat are just that good this year! Rooting for Iggy and ultimately the heat to win it all but the Lakers are fully ready to go... gonna be a good finals.

If Miami's players had more experience I'd confidently bet on them to win, because they fit the mold of teams that Lebron can't beat. Dallas, San Antonio and Golden State all played team basketball, had a strong culture, played great defense with a lot of chemistry, ball movement and a deep roster, while Lebron's team was just star studded. The only team Lebron managed to beat convincingly was OKC and they didn't fit the mold, while the other 2 times he beat SA and GS it went to 7 and needed some miraculous feats and circumstances to pull it off. While the heat haven't faced a real contender (with experience) the Lakers haven't met a defensive team like Miami, Nurkic, PJ and Jokic aren't on the same tier as Bam and Iggy, it'll defintely be an amazing match up, I can't wait.

This year was the first year I started betting on NBA playoff games, and I picked the Heat to beat both the Bucks and the Celtics (with really good odds for the Bucks series). I've really liked this team all year, and I've been a huge Jimmy Butler fan ever since he reaped the soul of that entire T-Wolves roster. To me, the next series will largely hinge on whether the Heat can effectively use their zone defense which hides their weaker defenders in the corners (namely Robinson and Herro), or if LeBron will be able to pick it apart from the jump. What do you think, Alc? Stifling Miami Heat defense or surgical 4th Quarter LeBron?
