If they’re willing to spend, and the details of that 9 milli dp exception is as the tweet showed, that gives the Warriors opportunity to add 3 substantial players. They’re in serious talks over Oubre with OKC for the T.E, have their 6 million dollar midLevel, and now this DP exception at 9. As devastating as waking up to this news was/is, the question of is this team still a contender, that’s really up to front office to spend an obscene amount of money to fill a Klay sized hole which is not possible with one player, but with 3, maybe.

Austin is a guy who has come across as a coaches son weenie .. he also has as u said had times where you're like this guys not real. That being said I think we should def get him. He's matured, he's humbled, he's worked through very difficult environments where maybe he didn't get to show it all, he's big, and he has absolutely shown flashes (remember that one game bros?). Also, he's got edge and confidence . We are going to need that. Dray is going to need some backup on the tude Edit- just as I confess my love for Austin Rivers, Meyers goes and gets a real dog !

Bruhh 2020 strikes again. Godspeed, Klay. Far as filling the roster, I also think Bogdan Bogdanovic would be a good fit - Alch mentioned a "nastiness" to his game, that killer instinct. And I think he'd be pretty deadly next to Curry and Draymond. His salary would be right around what we could afford too, I think, yeah? Especially if they go for that disability exception?

I really didn't want to believe it, I was really hoping it was a calf tear like what KD had when we feared it was the Achilles tear against the Rockets. 2020 is truly a horrible year. I don't believe the dynasty is over. I'm gonna give you straight up facts about the impact Klay had, even if it paints him in a bad light. Over the last 3 seasons, he's had nowhere near the same on/off impact metrics as Curry, Draymond, or KD on both offense and defense. Ben Taylor argues of all the all stars he has looked at, Klay has the biggest drop in points and TS% in the last 5 seasons. I was optimistic this was about to change when he had the most consistent series ever in the 2019 finals, it looked like he didn't even reach his full potential. This is why this news hit me hard... I also believe KD's presence hurt the chemistry Klay and Curry had before 2017, not allowing him to play at his full potential. As much as it sucks however, we will still be a high level playoff team 100% with Curry, Draymond, and Wiggins. But we are going to need another consistent 3 and D player.

Injuries have a way of snapping us out of our obsessive, selfish fandom...at least for a bit. Worst case scenario: Klay never plays (right) again, our team collapses into perennial losers. That’ll suck, but we have been blessed to witness one of the greatest eras of the game. Now that Klay’s out for the coming season, I’m not even worried about the playoffs and have switched to thinking it’ll be another rebuilding year. We already got enough consecutive Finals appearances. I don’t want us chasing San Antonio style playoff presence cuz I think that’ll cause more injuries like this. Maybe the best any franchise can hope for is sustainable, cyclical chances at the chip. Maybe we as fans need to reset our now spoiled expectations of how our team should perform every year.

This is sad.... The replacements for Klay are down-right nearly as depressing as the injury. Hopefully we can keep developing in-house (minus Damion Lee). Wiggins, Wiseman, and Paschall better be ready to carry a heavy load. I'm not sure we make the playoffs. We can't ask Steph to carry us. If Wiggins don't step up to the tune of an efficient 20 ppg minimum I don't think we make the post season... :/
