No way Poole goes into next season with this team making crazy money playing defense like that and leading the team in turnovers. NO WAY he is getting paid that amount just to score. At least in my book it's just so wrong. And either Kerr goes or Kenny goes and has to be replaced by a defensive-minded coach like Mike. If Draymond walks as well, I wouldn't lose sleep over it. He probably started all of this, or maybe he didn't and he just expedited everything for them. It was all gonna implode anyways. All dynasties implode eventually at some point.

2023-02-25 07:18:46 +0000 UTCI enjoyed the beginning of the December home stand (before Kuminga went down) about as much as I’ve enjoyed any string of games during the dynasty. Kuminga was developing in leaps and bounds, DDV was doing his thing, Klay was looking all the way back. Even Wiseman was looking like he was putting together solid minutes. Best of all, it felt like the team was figuring out its identity and that once Steph & Wiggs got back we’d have something really special. I don’t know whether it was Wiggin’s extended malaise or what, but after we got healthy we just right back to the same old same old.

After tonight’s loss, wiggs not being with the team, curry out, no changes in rotation or roster, Kerr always blaming himself and says he should do better but doesn’t do anything different… I think we don’t make the playoffs. You play him and let him jack for beets with the ball and shoot all day but not play D it sets a bad example. Then maybe he starts playing for the team. It won't solve our problems but it might set up Poole for the future. With his salary he's now just about untradable so that won't work.

But when no one trusts you/takes you seriously because youre now "that guy" in the locker room, it all falls apart from there. Then you add in Mike Brown leaving and Kerr's obsession with short leashes every rook/young guy when they make a single mistake, but Klay is allowed to slack on defense and shoot 3/17, and Lamb and Jerome are playing when we are supposed to be developing Kuminga and Wiseman??? Okay. Now Wiseman's gone, and I thought that would mean way more Kuminga, but I guess when you take and miss a bunch of threes, you get benched.........unless youre Lamb for some reason.

Seems like slow death in the coaching system, lack of solid defense, enthusiasm, and mistakes and mismanagement from the GM, etc. I've stopped posting comments, mostly, because I've been an early adapter of the Warrriors demise, actually from the end of the last season. I've been greatly upset with choices coaches have made as far as developing young players to the lack of fundamental basketball instilled in the team. And earlier on, this "negativity" about the Warriors chances was not appreciated. "we have a chance", etc. But for me, it has always been the ability to see the weak spots that allows a team, an individual to grow. There has been mounting weak areas of the team, in all aspects to the team, that has snowballed into this present mess. And it starts from the top. And the hubris and "lightyears" BS is something that doesnt usually go away without somekind of introspection or great pain. One has to wonder if rich people, who think they are the bees knees reach deep introspection except on deaths bed or mass personal deprivation. Always hope I'm wrong on this kind of thing, but life has taught me that when you are coddled, and rich and have sycophants' a plenty, real world wisdom seems harder to come by.

There has not been a single point in the season where this team has been even remotely enjoyable to watch. Even when they win on the scoreboard, its a "BARELY" type of game. Where they just escape from blowing a 25pt lead heading in to the 4th, or a 6 pt lead with 5 seconds left. Their record and their play perfectly encompasses the consequences of "tWo TiMeLiNeS". They arent bad enough and have too much pride to tank, but we arent good enough to win more than 50% of our games. Im so sick of the team this year, and Wiggins and Curry being out has nothing to do with it. Even with them both there, I wouldnt expect a different outcome. Are they the LEAST reliable team in the league right now in terms of how games go? For real, are you actually sure the Warriors can win a game if they are up 23 pts on the Hornets with 8min to go? Becuase I know for a fact if theres any team that will blow a game like that, its this team. This season feels so much worse that '20 and '21, and not just because of expectations. Theres no fight. Theres no communication. Theres no chemistry. Theres no development. And Kerr just gets on his knees for Lamb every night. We all joke that maybe Lamb has something on Kerr to get all these minutes. Maybe Kerr was at that same party that Lamb was at???

Steph creates sound offense and gravity for guys to have easier looks that then return less transition defense and more half court defense. Less minutes for the two-way guys and a smaller roll for Poole to stay in his lane. I think the other part is how much time wiggins has missed, he is overall our best defensive player that is a pretty efficient 20 a night scorer too. Steph is super important but wiggins is up there too for this team

They were able to win in spite of stephs mid season shooting slump and injury along with draymonds missed time that I still believe cost him a defensive player of the year nod. Not to mention Klays limited role and all the load management Otto and gp2 received. Something in this team is just fundamentally broken. All these close games that the core five can't seem to close out do not bode well for playoff crunch time.

2023-02-24 21:04:42 +0000 UTCAgree with Alex deB, I have been a fan since 2013, Mark Jackson took us to a point but they saw they needed to change and we invented a new style of basketball because we had the greatest shooters of all time in their prime, then we created a death lineup without a traditional center and 5 guys on the floor that a system allowed to score 15 points more than any team and make teams go scoreless so much digit quarters were possible and less than 20 was the norm. IT WAS HUNGER, DRIVE, WANT. All that became our reputation. Now we rely on that reputation, have a coaching staff that says young guys play like those role players did and those players just want to play that style of offense without doing the work on the other end. Alch your take is about honesty and you spoke the TRUTH, so no Apology needed.
