indeed.. thank you

Athletic Alchemy

I kinda gave my take on that in the last YT vid.. I think they should rest dray and Steph and just see what the young guns do. Playing with fire over playing steph and dray with injuries at this age

Athletic Alchemy

I want him either gone for next season or reduced to a minimal role and minimal salary if he really wants to stay.

Neal X

Ppl think Jokic, but Jokic is like LeBron another stats piler. Who wins the 2020 ring for LA? Davis. Who wins 2022 for Nuggets? Murray, play the best on ball defense and directs the help defense, while being the best iso scorer and the whole Nuggets system is rooted is his hand off with Jokic. Without Murray, Jokic is a first rounder. Without Jokic, Murray can still win. Don’t believe? Look at Kobe and Shaq. That’s why in winning basketball you must dominate the defensive end. Murray in 2023, like Steph in 2022, dominates both end.

godeau

Was against trading wiggs at the deadline because most likely it would’ve cost extra to salary dump him and ey who knows maybe he’ll play himself back into respectability. Well it hasn’t happened yet and I don’t believe it will. Might be time to just get him off the team and open up space for moody, maybe look for a younger alternative. Really sucks his contract looked like a bargain a year ago

Ken Bradford

Truth is....draymond doesn't need to start anymore. This is part of why I wanted him gone even though he is important. We need to get the jk and tjd front court ready for the future and present. Both our most efficient scorers, play steph and Wiggins with them and maybe klay even though I like his new role or moody. Draymond can't score as a 4 and gets beat up at the 5. Let him off off the bench and be the small ball 5 for some high energy minutes. We can't cater lineups for dray, and for years his lack of being a threat has hurt the team and now his defense is falling off. We can't let nostalgia waste the rest of curry career...especially a guy who continues to miss a bunch of games

k fish

Ummm that's just not true...what kept this team out the play in last year was literally kuminga the 2nd half of the season lol then he got benched after a few mistakes in the playoffs because that's what kerr has always wanted to do, just like he tried to dnp him this year lol not sure how kerr was rewarded with am extension when it's pretty clear how doesn't know what he is doing

k fish

You're spot on....I'm not the biggest Wiggins guys but I've said the same thing....Wiggins and jk are basically told yall gotta go iso to score and wonder why it's hard for them lol no clever sets to get them down hill or even just a step on there defender, Kerr is just realizing u can give them the ball and get a screen set but even then it's only a few times a game. Kerr is a 1 trick pony and I'm shocked lacob extended him with how poor this season has gone.....only empowering Kerr more to stick to his foolishness.

k fish

Exactly , hell I said when last season started it didn't seem like Kerr actually had a plan in place to get the best out of kuminga or even a Wiseman, it's was more of yall need to fit in, it's even worse this year after kuminga led the preseason in scoring then the season starts and kerr has him standing in the corner while cp3 and saric run pnr lol I don't trust kerr handling of the young guys at all, seems like the type of guy who still wants to be right and hope they fail so his vets can take back over...well except podz of course lol

k fish

Pushed around on defense where? He was much better then Wiggins and kuminga consistently brings good offense even when he misses. Yea 1 rebound isn't good but this team isn't in a position to bench its 2nd best scorer. Kerr still doesn't understand that. It should of been steph, klay wiggs, jk and tjd, honestly I think dray needs to go to the bench permanently. He has too many holes for the team to cater for and tjd is ready. Also let's dray pace himself as the backup center...but blind commitment to vets have been this team downfall the past 2 seasons.

k fish

The fact that we are letting young guys sit is criminal! Shame on Kerr dogshit player management

Ravi Dissanayake

Disappointing loss, immaculate breakdown. Attention to detail fire. Thank you for doing this.

Lon TheThird

Jamal Muray? Don't you mean Jokic lmao

Jacob

I believe Moody left with an injury in the 2nd. He wasn't even on the bench in the 2nd half, IIRC.

Dan Shupack

Wiggins was out the game in NY so it forced Moody into the starting lineup... too bad Moody was ruled out after his brief stint last night.

Jimmy Ji

IMO Podz and Dray need at least 1 wk rest, the fatigue is setting in. Moody and TJD can start they need reps for the playoffs and will help with the predictability of the offense. Klay, CP3, & GP2 anchor the bench so any combo with them off the bench should be a plus. At this pace we’d be lucky if they make it out the 1st round, much less the play-in. All Prayers For Dubnation 🙏🏿

Kd Joe

😂fr

hugojimcam

At this point, yea probably. It's not like he's still decent, I mean he's been very very bad. It's rough to watch how soft he plays. Unfortunately we'd probably have to throw in a young guy like Moody with him in a trade, but if the return is worth it, may as well.

Crimson

Not sure if I understood you correctly, but this is what I think: who has the power, the saying over the direction of this team? Joe Lacob, Steph Curry. Joe worked with Steph through Kerr. So Kerr represents Lacob, executing his power. As long as this pair is productive with the resources they are given, it's successful. Now Steph has been doing things worth of 60 millions $ on his paycheck. I don't think that's arguable. Resources? The dubs still is packed. Draymond's performance can fluctuate but he still is among the best defenders with likes of AD and Giannis in terms of defensive impact. Klay was selfish, Wigs was sluggish, Kevon was out of shape, all true. But it's not like Kerr has no solution to these problems: he even got 2 rooks who are plug and play, one for Klay and one for Kevon. The fact he doesn't understand basketball matchup, his mins distribution/ game plan being identical regardless of opponents, the fact that he rather play vets than play fair, these are the triggers of another consecutive failed season. I said this before, I counted at least 10 games a month ago lost simply due to Kerr, which would have put Dubs at West #1, even with Chris Paul! I think, given all above, he deserves all of the blame, he caused this team to fail and cost the chance of this team being called a dynasty.

godeau

That’s a great point! Had forgotten about that, apparently so did they.

Athletic Alchemy

I hear you

Athletic Alchemy

Like calling out a big name fighter past their prime

Athletic Alchemy

Would you salary dump him in the summer given the chance?

Athletic Alchemy

Kerr deserves plenty of blame but not all of it. That’s not how it works

Athletic Alchemy

Honestly, how many legends can end their career beautifully? Bill Russell, MJ. Magic if you count his HIV incident. That's it. Kobe? Wasted 3 yrs before tore his heel. Bird? Retired under Isiah and MJ's shadow with McHale and Chief. Duncan? I'd argue he wasted his whole career with Popovich. KG? From 2009 - 2015, worse and worse. Dr J? Watching Magic vs Bird 4 times before he retired. Steph is hard to escape. I have accepted Steph has ended his playoff run. This run is ended by Steve Kerr. This is Jamal Murray's time to shine now.

godeau

You think so? I don't feel the vets have issues with playing the young guys. You only need to play Podz, Moses and JK on top of Steph, Klay, Wigs and Draymond. I think it's all about Kerr don't trust young guys AT ALL. Remember JK and Moses openly criticize Kerr around New year? Remember?

godeau

Man idk if Kuminga was that much better than Wiggs. Love JK and agree Wiggs hasn’t been locked in but JK was getting pushed around on defense and 1 rebound is unacceptable.

Jared Cole

I have been done ranting as soon as the last Knicks game, when Chris Paul stepped back on court. I knew Steph is over.

godeau

Alch I don't know how you keep making videos through this Kerr shit. Remeber prior to All star without Chris Paul Dubs find a defensive rhythm by playing the youngsters? Now back to December vibe again. Even the problems are the same. Why do you pick on Draymond? This McBride 6pt/g kid had a career highlight game thx to Chris Paul. Without Draymond they had lost 20+pts in the first 3 quarters! It's so obvious that every vet including Wigs need energy, and look around the next body needs it even more.

godeau

Typical Steve Kerr basketball. Dry-aged the vets

godeau

So tired of our neutered ethical basketball.

John Z

I wonder if it goes back to Steph a little bit. He's been playing a bit more hero ball this season and/or he's no longer in his prime. He should look to distribute a little bit more imo and give more focus on the defensive end

Abhi Kelkar

typically it's been us overhelping on drives cause of our lack of size but McBride kinda just went off despite contested shots on most of them

Abhi Kelkar

They forget the fact that teams play harder against the Warriors.

Kahlil Baker

Well with an analytical approach you’re kind of giving yourself over to luck while the opponent is trying to take the game into their own hands. I find it extremely vexing that when it comes to analytics these guys don’t understand that the data they are receiving is in a vacuum, and trying to deliberately add themselves into the system is adding a new variable and is therefore gonna change the data.

Sarcasm 360

Wiggs is so nonchalant out there. Imagine if he was his 2022 self, or even better as we thought he would've been after that chip? Imagine he's giving us 19 & 6 on good efficiency and elite defense? This team would instantly be better, even with the poor roster construction, and it would alleviate so much pressure off of Steph. We'd probably be the 5 seed lol

Crimson

Too many people have had there season highs or career highs against us this season, other teams have marked us on schedule all year long

hugojimcam

Well he and curry were sat for more than 8 minutes, they both were also pulled for CP3 and Pod during one of the warriors best stretches of the game, both were basically iced because curry was cold that last stretch too.

Sarcasm 360

Ain.No point in even makin it to the playoffs I would only want to see what our young guys can do so they can get the experience for next season but other than that we are first round exits and that’s if we can even get out the play in I been waiting for this season to be over for months

Noah Bailey

Lmao these guys are unserious. After taking a huge game in LA, you lay an egg at home. Nice!

AK

Moody shut Brunson down a month ago in NY. Why not go back to that match-up?

SAOpp

To play off of that I wonder how much of the young guys across the board missing passes to eachother is because of the playbook itself being tailored to hunting the core 3, how easy is it to connect with your other teammates besides the core 3 when it’s outside of the play book’s focus? I say this because they just can’t ever seem to involve Wiggins without it looking extremely deliberate, same with Kuminga and his play calls, it’s often visible to me how these plays just look like the players are suddenly uncomfortable on the court, as opposed to the normal sets.

Sarcasm 360

Though kuminga bad a rough stretch when he came back in during the 4th I think it's laughable that Kerr pulled him. He was 7 for 13 and his misses were still good shots for the most part , the thing is he pulled him for 2 guys that were playing worse in Wiggins and draymond. Kerr has to go bruh also podz was getting heavy minutes again until the 4th so Kerr could do some damage control lol

k fish

I feel so bad for Pods man, like “please spare the boy,” but it’s Kerr’s fault, he’s a rook and has a hustle guy archetype and he gets more minutes than everyone else in the starting lineup through 2-3 quarters? Even past the fatigue I said a few games ago that Pod needs to shelve the Draymond comparisons and what do you know both of them running around doing nothing last night not looking to score.

Sarcasm 360

Every season has a story, and the ONLY story that you can attach to this season if you've been paying attention is how the warriors have been forced to find the talent in their young players because of how the older players have flamed out by believing the story was still about them. That's meta as hell, but this team's leadership has literally been shamed and suspended and ridiculed into leaning on new ideas. And I'm still not sure they believe in those ideas yet In a shocking turn though, Klay + Looney seem to be the first ones to accept this fate

yan't get right

Right after the first laker game Draymond started at the 5 and after Philly someone asked if Draymond would be ok. Kerr said “I don’t worry about it.” He sees this and is acting like it’s still not a problem. Very disappointing to see

Sarcasm 360

Atkinson is really into advanced analytics and I think they are dictating their defense by them. And, according to their numbers, they have some small % increased chance of victory if they overhelp in the paint (all the orgs have proprietary metrics so we won't ever see them). But it hasn't been working. I think it's interesting to note that they had one of the best margins-of-loss throughout the first half; the games they lost were by under 5, which I think was 2nd best in the league. A few different bounces here and there and they coulda been in the 6th or 5th spot earlier on, which has a cascading effect on the overall psyche of the team, and you perhaps have less blowouts later. In other words, just as much as they have been small and aging this year, they were also pretty unlucky. Just like how in the 2022 championship run they were probably over-lucky.

Major Powers

Im so fucking sick and tired of at least ONE rando having a career night against us. It is NOT a coincidence that this happens at least once a week.

Jansen E

I get *why* Kerr was giving such heavy minutes to Lamb and Jerome last season (their relatively steady play probably helped to keep us out of the play-in, so logically, for the Steph window, you go in that direction), but god damn where would Kuminga and Moody be if they'd gotten all that experience last season. The Two Timelines conundrum is still worming its way around the organization.

Major Powers

Honestly not sure I can blame Draymond as much as Alc did in the breakdown. He been looking like this most of the year. The Knicks just have the mojo now and Steph isn’t able to push the team — he’s not playing at MVP level last few months. Too tired probably. They just got out hustled

Gary

Gotta get a new defensive coordinator who wants his own coaching job like Brown, get a real defensive game plan and actually get up and coach it. The no P.O.A small ball might just be Kerr forgetting Klay can’t do P.O.A anymore

Sarcasm 360

IDK. Wiggins and Draymond and Podz combined for 9pts last night and have not been really great on buckets. I'd rather take Klay. That's me. How many rotations did we see last night where Kerr had three 6'2" guards on the floor together where they got roasted? Hartenstein or someone on the Warriors would make a BIG difference.

decomplexify5000

Roster and coaching looking cooked right now. The constant strain all year the team has gone through trying to figure shit out and get back to high level basketball is starting to show. 15 games left, we’ll see how it pans out.

sleeve nash

This team should just roll over. Even if we get out the playin, we’re a first round exit. Why put the additional mileage on Steph and Draymond?

Andre Brooks

Sigh. I mean what can we really say anymore as fans? This team has nothing to offer this season. Sure its cool watching Kuminga or TJD have a nice game or impact every now and then. But for what? Kerr's obsession with Podz and absolute DUMBASSERY when it comes to using challenges is truly a joy to watch, isnt it? I said it back in December and I'll keep saying it. This team is going nowhere with Kerr at the helm. It is possible for them to be a contender again. But because the core is tied up with Kerr, its a sad reality that Curry is gonna go down with the ship in this. They need a new voice in the locker room and on the sidelines. Draymond is clearly hurt or he just really sucks now. Wiggins gets to pick and choose when to try. Take a shot everytime we had a missed layup. Take a shot everytime we had momentum and immediately turned it over. Wiggins did it AGAIN. Podz yelled at him for dogwalking and getting fouled. Wiggins has a clear lane and if he just speed dribbles or even angles his drive, he protects himself and gets a wide open dunk or layup. But NOOOOOOOOOOPE. Im gonna moonwalk to the rim and get fouled cuz its an easy 2??? CLANK. CLANK. Im fucking done with Wiggins man. I dont give a shit what hes got going on. If you wanna sleep walk, step away from the team entirely like last year. But if youre gonna be here, fucking PLAY. Its so annoying watching him.

Jansen E

They're playing to not lose, instead of "to win". That's what it feels like anyway. Also I kept yelling to give it to TJD I felt like we coulda won the game that way!

Allison Hendrix

I thought I was done ranting, but I wasn’t even mad yesterday just confused and still ranting, Kerr was late to every late game adjustment, spent 4 minutes playing musical chairs until he found something that worked, but that lineup was making mistakes because they just got in already behind the 8 ball in a crucial part of the game below 6 minutes, so Kerr starts pulling people around again. My thing was if you don’t want them to make these mistakes, how about you get them in the game earlier to start and then get up and coach for once? They’re sputtering because you’re just throwing shit at the wall and you’re sitting in a chair with your lips pursed. I was so confused I went back and wrote out a damn symposium with 4 minutes left in the game recounting this crap, I oughta post the damn thing I might get a literature award.

Sarcasm 360

draymond and steph shouldn't even be playing at this point except for games that would move them to the 11th spot. They need time off somehow before the play-offs and we know the play-in won't give them that.

B Master

they're too exhausted by steve wasting the season on poor lineup decisions. Too little too late they got their act together. And of course still holes in the roster even if they had not wasted the season and their off chance at success.

B Master

1. No P.O.A. defense 2. Too old/too small

Gsw4L

Why do the Warriors always help one pass away when help is not needed. They should know by now their over helping gives up so many threes a game, give up a two and defend the three

Kahlil Baker

they did not use a single challenge all game! what is the point of having them when you wont use them, the knicks used up all but three timeouts in the first half just to stop our momentum.

Kahlil Baker

Couldn’t agree more alch. Draymond needs 3-5 games off and let’s start to learn Trayce’s limitations. We know what Kuminga and podz needs to work on in the offseason and they know too but I honestly don’t think Trayce has been put in enough positions to try and fine tune his game. Let’s go ahead and play the long game and start revving up for next year. Id rather not see this core get their first 4 to 5 game series loss this late in their careers

Offtopic K

Draymond looks hurt as heck. It costs the team when he is like that. Others have to make a harder effort.

Paul Byun

Alch bro would love to hear your big picture thoughts. Looking destined for the 9/10 spot where we have maybe a 30% chance of even getting in the playoffs, then a 100% chance of getting cooked by Denver in the 1-8 matchup. This season feels over.

Mac Newton

sucks to see draymond at the end of seasons now. He is too old and his back cant take the long schedule anymore. He stunk it up last night and again steph looked like he didnt want to be out there.

Matt Hanna

I think they should do that too, rest Steph and Dray. They're both chipped up, so even if the team makes it to the playoffs, they're probably going to not be able to do much being playing like that with no time to heal. I think this team is in a good position for next year, the young players are contributing well, and once they get off expiring big contracts like Klay or CP, they might have enough to get a decent FA acquisition to complement this team. It doesn't make sense trying to chase a playoff spot at the cost of further developing young players for next year.

Nyeooooowmmmm

you right thats the league now tho, got win in the other areas FT Rebounds hustle

Athletic Alchemy

some of those shots were just nuts, JBs first midrange fade over Wiggs, that sidestep three over moses from the McBride kid, what are you supposed to do about those?

Billy Roberson

shouldve traded wiggs at the deadline man...

Dami I

It's so stephover.

Major Powers

Draymond green has been so bad man
