Alch - you've alluded to the importance of Summer League and player development a couple times.
Maybe do a video about the strategery level of the NBA under this new CBA, where building playable talent that fits under the 2nd apron can be decisive in both building the club's resources and competing.
For example, I think the Dubs should INVEST the middle 40 games of the season playing young and marginal guys, both to give rest to our oldheads, and to build the experience/value/accuracy-of-assessment of our young talent.
If that costs you 2 games on the margins... is that worth it, on average? I kinda think it might be. Look at the value the Thunder have built (caveat: they weren

I played lax, too. When you spend the whole game not only getting crushed by offseason linebackers, but getting constantly hit with a stick by a trust fund kid named Davis Menzies the Third or some shit... yeah... Pat's got all the toughness you could want.

I'll reserve judgment on Post until we've seen him in an actual NBA game with the squad. Bombing 3s in Summer League is different to hitting a pick and pop when Steph passes you the ball.

I did NOT expect Pat to sound like that lmao

Alch you think Post can ever reach Brook Lopez level? Feel like that’s the archetype for him, stretch big that uses size and positioning to be a plus defender

Also doesn’t help that he already seems to be the chosen one by Joe and Kerr over Moody and Kuminga who have been jumping through hoops for Kerr for years

I know not the topic of the video, but Team USA almost lose to South Sudan, overhelping on defense and too much collapsing in the paint... gee, where have I seen THAT before...

Aside from these breakdowns, ive been looking forward to Unc’s roasts — its both funny and got some truth to it. I almost feel bad for our guy Scott lol. Keep it up, Alch!

ESPN says 11 lbs.. but it’s the way they move that is similar not necessarily there built.

Plowdens body type is a lot closer to Henry's than it is to KCP. Plowden has like 20+ lbs on KCP

And even.... he follows through on his shot identically, spot on, moving, stepping back...it's all the same.... hope his injury not serious....hope he threatens wigs with cutting his spot, wigs needs motor....

Check out the Plowden interview on 95.7. Incredibly mature, obvious student of the game, practical about his chances to make it in the NBA, and very methodical on how best for him to get there. And of course the skills. What a sweet find. He's going to turn heads.

I was so psyched for GP2 in summer league 2021. That's how I'm feeling about Plowden. I hope he will be able to contribute as much as GP2 did that year

Plowden kinda reminds me of what xavier Henry looked like in college. I see him as more of a 3 than KCP

I think we should use this opportunity to develop post into an offensive threat. Lowkey the 3rd option and possibly the 2nd down the line

I do like what I see from Quentin Post-I know it’s early, but I like that three pointing attitude. He seems to know how to move down in the post as well.

I used to play lacrosse. The screens and cuts work the same. Helped me understand basketball offense.
Tibbs is kinda big like that.

I think Plowden might be Kuminga or Wiggins insurance. He plays like a weaker version of Iggy with a lower IQ but has a better jumper.

I have a higher ceiling on Podz than anyone I know. BUT, I worry that he might be a Chris Paul type. Great competitor, winner and leader…but extremely annoying teammate. The type who ends up having a short shelf life wherever he goes…

Plowden is exactly the type of player who I wanted Kent Bazmore to be. I hope it translates to the big stage. I love to see these development guys finally live their dreams.

Glad you covered this one, i wanted to ask about Pat Spencer an if he could be feasible off the bench as a lead ball handler? I am not super worried we are trading Podz for Lauri but who knows and if that is the case, we need a ball handler
