Warriors vs Heat GM-36

Comments

naw.. once Klay left.. the nostalgia left for me. The trio is what kept me in nostalgic mode.

Ballin Forever

Fair. But are you enjoying Steph and Dray playing together now?

Irritated Inanimate

I believe most of our players are ready to throw down, but Draymond brings too much heat, so everyone else has to stay in control. Podz is a whiner sometimes, but he’s not afraid to get aggressive. He doesn’t have height or athleticism, so he uses what he can. Schröder, Spencer, Lindy (but in a sneaky way), Moses probably isn’t afraid of doing what has to be done, Kuminga definitely. But no, they have to be classy because they represent the organization. Unfortunately, if you take the teeth out of the dog, you not only take away his ability to fight, but also the ability to survive.

Irritated Inanimate

One of the most cooked performances at home since the 22 chip

Aidan Willner

I mean.. what happened to the “we’re not that team anymore!!” Kerr ? Its looking like we’re that team 🤣 then to see the live showing of the bench and he out of sight? No coaching going on.. Crazy.. ain’t seen Stotts hop of the bench since November ..

TJ Maccc

I actually think he thought he would be done, but you can’t say no if Steph asks for you. I don’t think Kerr should leave because finding a replacement coach would be a nightmare. I’m not sure Stotts signed on for that. I just want Kerr to work harder, I think he’s being stubborn and putting in less than championship effort.

Irritated Inanimate

Completely agree! Every time the refs make an obviously biased call, I yell at my tv, “you know what kind of night it’s going to be, it’s five against eight! Let’s go!” 😆 If the Kerr hasn’t been coaching the team to play well enough to compensate for the bad calls, then he’s doing worse as a coach than I thought. Truth is, another ring for Steph is not a part of the NBA’s narrative, so they won’t help him win this and he knows this, but he’s fighting for it anyway because Steph can only Steph, which I respect. The least Kerr could do is fight just as hard as Steph’s been fighting.

Irritated Inanimate

UPDATE: If Kerr want to do that he needs to cus out the Commissioner for the referee bias against Steph and the Dubs. Somebody on this team needs to get violent. Looney constantly foul and it takes a challenge to get a call. This level of manipulation have to be stopped some way or another. If it don't stop we will not win any of the big games even if we win the smaller games. What you all think? DID WE HEAR SANTOS POST GM COMMENT "IF HE HASBTOBGET INTO A FIGHT ..." TO MAKE AN IMPACT? If Dray not allowed to be the enforcer anymore, who will it be? Without teams will just bully the Dubs.

Dale Happy Knowles

Maybe he is growing tired of it, he doesn’t seem to want another coaching job after this one and Steph surely wants him here. I’m happy for him to be here too. He’s the best coach we’ve ever had, and he helped develop Steph, the best player we will ever have. I’m happy to keep Kerr as long as he and Steph are aligned.

Stephen Jones

See above

Irritated Inanimate

Not pining for Klay at all. He seems to be doing at least the same or better in Dallas and they will make the playoffs. Klay’s sense of self-preservation has served him well. I’m saying that in hindsight, Klay was right to leave the team, but it might have been for a slightly different reason than everyone thought.

Irritated Inanimate

Yes, that’s all true. And how many years has it been since being in Kerr’s system benefitted any player? Who’s benefiting from it now? Kerr does not get credit for Kuminga, he literally told him to figure it out.

Irritated Inanimate

I think he wants to be done with all of this, he’s only here because Steph wants him here. He thought he could be successful because they had the firepower, but all of this is proving to be way more time and energy than he wants to put in since it actually includes player development for the future. He thought he could avoid that and just coach veterans and high IQ to tye championship.

Irritated Inanimate

I agree. But Podz value isn’t really as a scorer, especially since they want the scoring to come from a long list of players on this team before Podz. If one player were sufficient to drive this team and keep them moving at full throttle all game long, then Steph or Draymond would be able to do it themselves. They can’t. Kuminga can’t by himself, he has to put himself into his performance, he is not a natural team leader. Podz is a natural team leader, Spencer is a natural team leader, Schröder is a natural team leader. I know nobody has the time, but watch Podz play in those games last year. A lot of people saw a player who looked like he was running around with his head cut off. I saw a point guard who was looking for his open team mate, a cutter, someone to pass to. The problem was his teammates weren’t moving with him a lot of the time, nor were the making themselves open for the pass, probably because they are too used to playing with Steph and Draymond. When they do move with Podz as he pushes the pace and they stay in motion, Podz can usually find the open man for the pass. He usually only gets into isolation when nobody else opens themselves up.

Irritated Inanimate

you misunderstood by your comment suggesting that i would’ve expected steph klay and draymond to play well. My initial comment literally says i would’ve rather watched “Steph and Klay chuck shots” …. Chucking shots isnt necessarily a formula to win games bud

Ballin Forever

I didn’t misunderstand anything. Draymond came up with them also. You enjoying watching them play together now?

Irritated Inanimate

Klay was pissed he wasn't getting 40 million dollars a year. That was his beef, and he took less money than the Dubs offered to move because he's got too much pride to admit he was wrong.

Point Gawd

Klay was pissed because he wasn't gonna make 40 mill a year. And he left for less money than the Dubs offered because he has too much pride to admit when he was wrong. So, were he here, he'd just be another part of the problem. Please stop pining for Klay back.

Point Gawd

Yes, he was. Had Kerr played Moses early one of two things would have happened. Either Moody gets confidence and develops and we have Klay's replacement. OR the team knows what it's got and can trade him with an understanding of that. Added to that, they didn't win anyway. So playing Ty Jerome, who was gonna leave anyway, was a lose-lose-lose proposition.

Point Gawd

I agree. And that plan never works out.

Point Gawd

Uh . . . there is the little matter of Jonathan Kuminga's carrying the team when given the minutes. Podz wasn't there when that happened and if both were there Podz would be helpful, but JK would be more important. Podz isn't scoring 30 on back-to-back nights.

Point Gawd

How good does he think he is?

Stephen Jones

You misunderstood my initial point. I didn’t say they would be better. It very well could have been worse. However the context is that they rose together and fell together. I would rather watch those 3 retire together on their terms vs watching what we are seeing now… scrambling and grasping for straws

Ballin Forever

It would be worse. You’re assuming they would still be playing well, that’s not how that would work.

Irritated Inanimate

And he needs to play Looney more, Trayce gets beat repeatedly when he’s on defense, he doesn’t have Looney’s experience. It’s malpractice at this point not to benefit from Looney’s screens and rebounding. Have you seen his efficiency for rebounding? The only reason he’s not productive is playing time. And if you don’t play Looney and you don’t have Podz, GP II, or Kuminga, you’re missing a lot of rebounding and second chance points.

Irritated Inanimate

Do you know what throws off a shot faster than anything else? Not being relaxed and in the flow of the game. But that’s not necessarily a function of time played, it’s a function of being fearful that you are going to miss and have to hear about it. The entire team is under pressure and on eggshells playing with Steph and this coaching staff is not able to help them fix the problem, probably because they are too stressed out also. Negative energy is contagious and it’s infecting this team. It was why the younger players played better initially, they had the least exposure to it, but now they have all been marinating in it for a third of the season. Also, it’s statistically impossible to gather all the worst shooters in the league to one team BY ACCIDENT. Stop blaming the players, it’s the org and the coach.

Irritated Inanimate

Thats false. Wiggins plays better here… Poole played better here.. Otto won a championship here… Noone thought GP2 could be a championship level role player before he came to GSW. Durant hasn’t touched a finals yet. Mcgee revitalized his career. Donte had a career year. Nearly everyone who come to GSW have their best years unless they are already out of their prime. Wiseman was traded and couldn’t even get in the rotation of the worst team in the league last year. Poole is JUST NOW figuring it out. We just have been spoiled for so long to where a couple bad seasons and we are ready to jump off the bridge 😂😂😂😂

Ballin Forever

Kerr said it himself, his coaching goal is to optimize Steph’s performance and longevity, which is not the same as coaching winning basketball for the team. I think that’s the thing that actually pissed Klay off. But I agree with you, Alch, Kerr has an opportunity to really test himself and turn this around. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want to coach anymore and he’s only here for Steph. He’s trying to put the least amount of effort in for the same result, but you can’t lead a team to a championship that way.

Irritated Inanimate

Kerr said it himself, his coaching goal is to optimize Steph’s performance and longevity, which is not the same as coaching winning basketball for the team. I think that’s the thing that actually pissed Klay off.

Irritated Inanimate

Nope, Kerr won’t jet Zion be Zion.

Irritated Inanimate

It’s the opposite actually, he doesn’t think he’s micromanaging the team, but he is because he keeps correcting them until they do it exactly the way he wants them to. He keeps saying he wants Buddy to be Buddy, but he doesn’t actually draw up plays for Buddy or to maximize any other individual except Steph. He’s said it himself, his coaching goal is to optimize Steph’s performance and longevity, which is not the same as coaching winning basketball for the team. I think that’s the thing that actually pissed Klay off.

Irritated Inanimate

I don’t agree because the larger pattern is that younger players don’t improve, players that played great elsewhere come here and perform worse, and the long stretch of bad shooting is almost statistically impossible unless the environment itself is the problem. Because it’s literally every single player. They play great everywhere else and then they play in this system with this support and the results speak for themselves. I’d like a data analyst to look at this professionally, but it’s impossible to gather all of the worst shooters in the league to one team BY ACCIDENT. The obvious explanation is this organization is not producing winning players here or winning basketball anymore, period.

Irritated Inanimate

No, unfortunately, Steph is not worth watching if everyone else on the team is not even trying. And I say this as a person who has been looking for any little reason to watch. But Kerr crushed this team’s spirit and he drove them into the ground trying to make them give up their individual talents to play in his system. And they are done. And Kerr won’t change. I don’t care how much Steph dances, can’t watch this.

Irritated Inanimate

Impossible to watch

Irritated Inanimate

Facts, facts, facts! You can dismiss anyone who says it’s Kerr, but they can’t explain why. But this is solid reasoning and irrefutable, no lies told.

Irritated Inanimate

I don’t think you want to give credit to Kerr for thinking Moody sucks, I’m pretty sure at the end of all this Kerr’s going to get crucified for not developing his younger players, therefore, his team properly and for being soft because he insisted he could only work with “high IQ” players. Moses is a victim, don’t hate on the victim.

Irritated Inanimate

Trayce did temporarily. Schröder and Podz do have it naturally, but they have had to work harder to get here in the first place due to their size.

Irritated Inanimate

It’s so obvious team development sucks for this team, but I’m not going to blame Moody for trying to figure it out on his own when no one will actually help him. He’s just trying to keep his stat line right so his value doesn’t fall too much from being on this team.

Irritated Inanimate

At least Buddy is still giving all he has, it’s not his fault Kerr won’t stop treating him like he’s Klay. If he had plays for Buddy specifically, he would perform better. Lindy too probably.

Irritated Inanimate

Season died when they sidelined Podz and he got injured. Kuminga’s ankle is the nail in the coffin OR it’s the wake up call this organization needs so Kerr can throw all the old shit out and they can prioritize the younger players and fit Steph and Dray around them.

Irritated Inanimate

JK is going to be a beast. Franz got handed the minutes, so he got a head start, but JK has literally had to fight his own coach and take charge of his own development to get to where he is now. And since the fan base keep shitting on him, he’s even more motivated to prove everyone wrong. That’s the guy you want on your team, though he’s probably not learning as much about “championship culture” as he would like to.

Irritated Inanimate

Nope. Trades will will result in losing in new and awful ways because Kerr is not as great a coach as he thinks he is.

Irritated Inanimate

Alch’s a real one, he truly knows and loves the team. But we all hate lack of effort and a crushed spirit. That’s not fun to watch for anyone!

Irritated Inanimate

Exactly! At this point, players coming to the Warriors are killing their own careers. Warriors have a big problem, no one wants to come to a team where you get traded after a teammate punches you out, where none of the younger players seem to develop, where established players play their worst ball, and none of that is worth it when you aren’t competing for a championship.

Irritated Inanimate

You mock, but Podz is the heart of the team now, not Draymond. Draymond is the wisdom, but he’s no longer the drive , you need the hunger from a young player who’s trying to prove himself and is looking for the fight. Podz wants the smoke all the time everytime because he proves himself to everyone else when he overcomes every challenge. Dray wants to appear formidable, but he’s too tired to actually want to work for it and he’s already got his four rings.

Irritated Inanimate

I think he wanted to retire already but he’s staying because Steph wants him to.

Irritated Inanimate

Right? They are either ill or just done with Kerr

Irritated Inanimate

Nope. Kerr won’t let Jimmy be Jimmy

Irritated Inanimate

So this is the thing I’ve been saying for a while now and the reason I keep telling people that 1) a given trade is not going to happen (Zion, Butler) because Kerr thinks they are not a fit for chemistry or not high IQ or not disciplined enough and 2) even if the trade were going to happen, Kerr has no idea how to actually use it properly, so it doesn’t fix the real problem. Same reason a big man doesn’t solve the problem. I actually think Podz is a very good player despite lack of athleticism and he’s particularly effective for the Warriors because he’s extremely well conditioned and high motor, very good passer, learns and wants to learn and improve very quickly, and he’s even more competitive than Steph or Draymond. He (and sometimes Kuminga) are primarily responsible for making sure the Warriors play with pace, he makes sure they actually take advantage of fast breaks and run the floor. The fact that other teams don’t take Podz seriously as a scoring threat and that Podz usually doesn’t decide what play he’s making until he actually makes it (true read-and-react) makes him extremely unpredictable and makes it harder to defend the entire Warriors team. Unfortunately, he’s been derailed and sidelined. But it’s no accident that the team has had a harder time being successful in games and actually fighting hard to play since Podz has been injured. And Steph and Dray haven’t been helpful, they’ve actually been slowing the game down so they could keep up. They didn’t start getting up for every game until recently. Podz is the heart now, whether everyone wants to acknowledge it or not.

Irritated Inanimate

Naw.. i understand context.

Ballin Forever

That’s not true, you’d just be disgusted with Steph and Klay instead

Irritated Inanimate

They’ve abused Moses horribly, the least they could do was compensate him. Warriors have a bigger problem though, they are starting to lose legitimacy and veracity, it looks like the gave Moses too much money so they could get more value back from another team in a trade.

Irritated Inanimate

Steph’s part of the problem at this point

Irritated Inanimate

It’s not Draymond anymore, it’s Podz and they muzzled him

Irritated Inanimate

"If you get the ball to the middle but the issue is, if the guy in the middle doesn't threaten the basket, it becomes very difficult to get good looks." ~ Alchemy This is the crux of all the breakdowns and missed opportunities leading to Ls. Firstly, for multiple years it has been said that teams where playing 5 on 4 defence when Draymond or more so Looney was on the court. God forbid both as it put too much on Steph to be special when he did not even need to be. Secondly, we go and get scoring bigs (Slo Mo JK, TJD and Looney with the ocassional Wiggs sprinkle in) and we direct them to pass out of the paint even when they have a great high peecentage 3-5 footer. Madness! Dray lift his offense this year because he had to but that throws off his balance of playmaking, elite defence and scoring. Slo Mo ain't even on the court to fail. JK being muzzled from rising for killer dunks because he has to pass to Curry first even if he is 10 ft from the rim. TJD even with his big hands so nervous he fumbling many passes and goes up dantily. Defences be like, love when you come to the table. Looney spend all summer shooting and I dont remember seeing him take two jump shots all year. Wow! What are we doing? We colapsing everyone into the paint and cant stop a 3s and our opponents ignoring the paint drives and smuddering the 3s. This leads to the disparity in points and particularly when 3 or 4 guards are on the floor together This wild!

Dale Happy Knowles

Kerr never gonna take the fall. We are stuck with him till the bitter end. Let's all do breathing practices to help deal with the anxietty of watching this shit.

Dimitrios Cacomanolis

Steve's mom had to evacuate her house because of the fire last night. That could be why he was missing for a timeout. Doesn't explain why the assistants aren't there

Nyeooooowmmmm

This was bad bad. I knew it was going to be a long night once Dray tripped on his own feet shortly after creating a turnover by not looking at the ball. Even last year he was active quarterbacking the defense, where did he go? The other players see him as the heartbeat of the team, and I dont see him as engaged. I saw him laughing on the sidelines during the kings blowout, wtf? If he cant play with fire and drive the bus on court then he needs to go, or at least come off the bench.

Michael E

lol christ

John Z

Our fundamentals up and down the roster is atrocious.

John Z

Yeah Podz and JK is clearly the solution for this team 🙄 can’t wait to have them back so we can steady the season

Ash

Loool y’all peep Kerr’s reaction when moody lets Herro get off his shot 😂😂😂😂😂 @8:10 mark

Ash

Curry is COOKED man. He’s still an all world talent but he’s gonna play ONE way as long as Draymond and Kerr are there. We could have Michael Jordan, LeBron and Shaq and Steph is still gonna run hand offs with Draymond in the corner

yan't get right

Real.

yan't get right

Which one? The one about Steph?

Alaase Shambe

Franz has been playing professionally since he was 16 in Germany

Bailey

Well said

Allison Hendrix

Donkey brained take

Dashaya Toney

Gotta love Dubs social media, telling me how to watch hoops, how to watch the Dubs! As the kids say, you do you. Ya dig?!

Chip Tingle

Go look at nba player comparisons … I telling you it’s closer than you think. And Jk has had to fight for every minute he got.

Jello Smooth

How can you really quantify that… Franz had 4 years of 30 minutes a night … how can you really say this … jury is still out … but at that time Franz was the right pick. Now I’m sure you and I agree on that

Jello Smooth

haha

Theodor Wiesengrund

Franz is and will be better than JK, no doubt about that

Theodor Wiesengrund

dito

Theodor Wiesengrund

Very good analysis, thank you

Theodor Wiesengrund

The only thing we giving Kerr credit for 😂 he saw that shit in practice

Luke Zhang

Time to find another hobby 😂 I’ve jumped back into WWE and the Sharks and only watch Alch’s breakdowns and my days are a lot brighter lol

Luke Zhang

Curry tired of the BS. He knows he can't compete with this lineup and tired of the two timeline crap. He been patient and he done. Get him some help or go full rebuild and let him go somewhere he can compete.

Chaz G

I get where youre coming from but Steph is a superstar by name at this point in his career not by on court impact, still your point stands

Alaase Shambe

And they draft players who cannot finish at the hoop … Podz and PBJ … basketball IQ and basketball skill over athleticism and high upside… but if this is your modus operandi why draft Jk over Franz or Moody over Trey … Accept Chicago trade in the 20’ trade get Wendell and draft Onyeka Okongwu or even Deni or Obi people who played copious amounts of basketball- WTF

Jello Smooth

Can’t believe they gave Moody a three year deal for 13 per. That is gonna be a shit sandwich His D is bad and he supposed to be 3 and D wing

Gary

Oh man I missed that 🤣🤣. He saw that shit coming from a mile away and lost all will to live

Ejikeme Uzoigwe

I would rather watch Steph and Klay chuck shots until they retire than this shit. If i had known this season would turn out like this… i would have said pay Klay whatever he wants.. roll out Steph Klay Kuminga and call it a day

Ballin Forever

I seen Kerr talk about this being a personnel issue, but nobody complained about this before we played basketball, because they fit the system. It hit me while I was thinking on a YouTube comment I saw; This fanbase has been silver spooned into thinking “if you don’t work here you’re low IQ,” look at Oubre Poole and Kuminga. Forget how arrogant that is to believe you have a system that perfectly filters IQ, the system itself is so niche and dated that being a fit in this system, unless you’re an apex caliber talent, would mean death to your career. We talk so often about how this team just doesn’t seem to play basketball that I’m shocked I didn’t see it sooner, while the league takes its opportunities whenever they get them like rabid dogs this team will pass up layups looking for Curry and Klay shots, miss easy reads for them, guys from here will flat out forget to look at the rim, if Dray now were to pass up a layup like he did throwing it BACKWARDS to Trayce he’d get eaten alive on every other team, but not here, I’ve seen Schroeder and now Kuminga too do that kinda thing. Habits like these in this NBA are not needed by any other team in the league, they’d be a handicap. Why would any player want these skills to play for one team when it would shut them out from being enticing to the 30 other teams? From a marketing standpoint that would ensure the death of your specific product, it’s actually high IQ to not fit in this system because this system might not be basketball anymore. Just my thoughts on this one feel free to deliberate and discuss I don’t mind debate.

Sarcasm 360

Getting Himmy Butler is starting look better and better to every game.

Major Powers

I thought so! I was like, who tf is Hightower?? Thanks for pointing out! Enjoy your team, it’s possible with them.

deb m.

Tbh: Steph doesn’t come as advertised. He’s advertised as a superstar but he doesn’t show up night in and night out and only averages 22ppg. Yet he’s the leader of the team and the fulcrum of the offense. That’s your issue right there

yan't get right

@Jello Oh not just Trey Murphy - I made a f-ing chart of Bob’s draft record in frustration. Also available w/Moody in ‘21: Alperen Sengun Jalen Johnson Santi Aldana Herb mf Jones! Neemias Quetta (1K ft tall)

deb m.

Not to mention the Podz haters. Whatever else you going to say, the kid played with heart and passion and effort. I'll take 4 Podz right now over these other fools, not sorry.

Neal X

I know opposing teams gotta be licking their chops when they see us on their schedule. One simple screen and roll action and you’ll end up with a wide open look for 3 or at the rim 100% of the time due to the chaotic scrambling that will ensue after that action takes place.

Mitch Coob

Remember when Steve would break his clipboards or get ejected? That passion feels long gone. I almost feel like he might retire before getting fired.

Neal X

lmao he knew that shit was cash before the shot even left his hands! The basketball Gods punish us every single time we make a mistake, which just deflates guys even more. You can damn near see the "OF COURSE that shit goes in" expression every time it happens

James arnoth

Then as a true dubs fan you should know how to watch a bad season picking the nuggets out of the mud. And it’s a muddy season …

Jello Smooth

Correct. Steph is lowkey cooked. He cant get separation. Dray been cooked AND is hard to get guy that can play around him. Kerr... Steve fucking Kerr is an ego maniac. Why we calling out Kuminga during press conferences, but letting Draymond take downhill floaters?

Andre Brooks

It is so weird watching Kerr completely stuck in his 2014-19 experience, constantly confused at what he’s seeing on the floor. “If only they’d just do it like I envision, everything would be fine!!!” 😖

deb m.

Lindy cant fucking shoot. Barely hit anything all season. Pull that mfer.

Andre Brooks

You have to react to an Awful Coaching video!

Shaun Ting

Anyone think the team is quiet quitting on Kerr like the Kings seemed to do on their coach? The complete lack of effort is so strange

Shantel

“…looks like a water balloon” Hilarious

deb m.

Ok … you caught me … Santi Aldama then. And it’s clear that Franz was probably a better fit than JK despite the fact I think JK will be better. And Jalen Johnson is every bit a 4 … the point is that we were lucky enough to have 3 lottery picks that should be matured to contributing players or tradable assists… we went 1-3, and traded the young scorer that helped us win a championship. And traded him as a negative asset.

Jello Smooth

Very well said. If all the role players were doing their jobs their respective deficiencies would be covered up, but right now there's none of the benefits and all of the glaring issues, snowballing into this mess. When NOT ONE ROLE PLAYER is capable of doing their job and ALL OF THEM are slumping, it becomes a coaching issue as well as a personnel issue

Dashaya Toney

You are right generally for sure. But when you shitting yourself tho and a coach hits a wtf timeout, it’s right to it! Because it’s about spirit not X’s and O’s

Athletic Alchemy

Jalen Johnson,Kuminga,Wagner are all similar level of shooter. All those dude would be hard to place next to Draymond just like JK.

mr.bean

Moses Moody, the wingspan of a condor, the brain of a headless chicken.

Neal X

Been watching since ‘74, Youngblood. Steph highlights are fun, but ask him if he’s having fun.

Chip Tingle

Alc, the coaches never immediately go to the huddle right after a TO is called. The players sits on their own for the first 60 secs or so after a TO is called while the coaches huddle themselves. Then Kerr addresses the players. That's what was happening in that clip

Said Sharif

Sengun is a C, Trey Murphy and Jalen Johnson are both SF/PFs that actually fit better next to Draymond than the wing they actually drafted. They're just bad at drafting unfortunately. They DID take JK over Franz in that same draft so it's not like they didn't draft a wing. Kerr tried to play the "pups" to start that season, and they were really bad. Was he really wrong in playing Ty Jerome over Moody seeing how the next few years panned out? You have faith in them finding a "real front court player" when they have picked TJD, PBJ, JK and Wiseman in the last 5 years?

Said Sharif

The people that were acting like Kuminga is complete garbage and has no impact have been slapped in the face these past two games.

Omer Ali

We have a roster full of role players who can’t do their roles. Buddy and Lindy can’t shoot, draymond can’t defend, moody is supposed to be 3 and D and the 3 is sometimes there and the D is nonexistent (pause). TJD is one of the worst finishers I’ve ever seen, Looney is great at his role but is glued to the bench. Slowmo barely gets PT. The only ppl who come as advertised are Steph obviously and Kuminga who’s out for a month. This is legitimately one of the worst teams I’ve seen man

Alaase Shambe

Holy shit, I don't think I've heard Alch so angry with this team. entertaining as fuck. If it wasn't for Alch there really wouldn't be any reason to still follow this team at all.

Alasdair Macdonald

I think it was after we beat Phoenix that Draymond said: “I told the guys we’re all gonna get traded out of here, so we better win some games.” Since then we have gone 2-3. I am open to trading all of them except Steph but I think we need an extended JK’s salary to trade everything we have accumulated for as-close-to-a-superstar level player we can get next season for one last run. At this point you can even talk me into trying to capture the Flagg! A top 2025 pick could be a great trade asset, along with everything we can get for being a seller at the deadline.

Stephen Jones

Steph like 84 … in athlete years. Contrary to what one believes that 60 Million dollar contract is a curse to the end of his career as the 11 million dollar per year was a blessing to the beginning of his career.

Jello Smooth

I'm fine with the order. And I'm ok with giving Steph a pass. But to not be able to properly assess Steph's contribution to the issues isn't proper analysis. I'd even argue the biggest issue is age, which isn't his "fault". You don't blame him for it. But certainly can acknowledge the role it plays. Even from a leadership standpoint. We all have empathy for the weight he's carrying and the team around him. But as the leader and franchise player, this is your role big fella. Gotta find a way to pick that head up and bring better energy to the squad during this down stretch.

Jarell Greer

Steph still box office. When shit hits the fan are you still a fan … Kdot

Jello Smooth

Barring Steph and Wiggins, the personnel we have right now is a slightly above-average college team at best. And everyone knows it.

Neal X

New it after Alchs breakdown the pick should’ve been Trey Mutha f’n Murphy

Jello Smooth

I wonder if you have seen the AwfulCoaching videos about our lackadaisical defense.

Ben

Facts … and do you know we played with a dray at the 4 and a center the first 7 games … most of those games were without melton. Hell moody started at least 4 of them

Jello Smooth

BTW...you've been calling him Hightower for several videos now his name is Haywood Highsmith

joss gitlin

No trade can save this team as long as Steve, Steph and dray are still running the show. This team is fundamentally cooked

Kevin Chan

Probably one of the only heat fans on here lol. I was definitely looking forward to this breakdown thanks alch

Lacob should be pissed for Meyers and Kerr not implementing the two time line strategy better. I believe Myers did not draft a PF because he was afraid of Green. The Moody draft was full of them - Alpert, that ATL kid, and of course Trey🤬🤬🤬🤬. Kerr played 2way players a year that them pups could’ve played. I’ll never forget Myers saying after drafting PBJ … well it’s gonna be hard for any of our young players to crack the line up. Yet I see young players routinely whip out asses. Dunleavy let get a start on next year. I am riding this one out. Hope we tank and find a real front court player.

Jello Smooth

Most nights we’re playing soft on offense…we’re not blowing out anybody with this offense

ntare rugamba

This season died with Kuminga's ankle. I think everyone knew it but was in denial.

Neal X

Facts 😂.. and I get it. Kerr doesn’t seem to be rallying the troops. The changing rotations isn’t great for rhythm building. And I know most will not agree with me because Kerr has been public enemy #1 since 2023 But if you simply cant make open shots… you are cooked. 😂 No amount of scheme… no rotation.. is going to allow you to stay in games where you aren’t making open shots and keeping the opposite team in transition getting them open shots Frustrations around Warrior nation is super high and everyone just wants a fresh look. I get it.

Ballin Forever

Lindy "the Rainmaker" Waters was hitting the bottom of the rim bro. Only rain he's making is coming out of my eyes. I was done just watching the highlights (lowlights). Even prime Coach K or Phil Jackson isn't turning this around.

Neal X

Doing the lord's work again, thanks Alc. Can't imagine going through all the film again after watching it live lol. Seems like unless there's a drastic change in the organization (big trade/coaching philosophy change), we'll keep getting the same result as the last 2 seasons. Might almost be time to #capturetheflagg or start prepping to watch the Valks

Christian Oblena

Dray …. Got me biblical … “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.”

Jello Smooth

I can't watch them anymore. They adding to my already stressful life. Lol. Seriously, I'm gonna take a break.

Carla Davis

Legit trade everyone but Steph and Kuminga and let's plan for next year .

Vincent Zendejas

Ok the wagon stop is here. All of you that showed up it’s been good.

Jello Smooth

I love Steph but good God if you just keep your eye on him on defense it's disgusting what he's doing out there. But he's fucking Steph so he's giving us offense in return. Buddy though? Man shouldn't see the floor at all. Just DNPs the rest of the season.

Ken

Hilarious commentary. Had me weak with the Moody comment. That boy needs coaching in his life bad. I'm not sure what they've been telling him for the past 4 years, but that boy couldn't keep the ball in front of him if it was a toddler in triple threat.

Lenny

Missing JK's energy too, him trying to ball out for that contract really gave the team a spark, despite Kerr's obstacles. The only player to seem to have a fire under his ass!

Morgan Taylor

Even just watching the breakdown, Schroeder moody buddy, steph buddy moody, moody waters steph, scroder buddy waters, Kerr said at the beginning of the season he ain’t want dray loggin at the 5 but he’s so stuck running 3 guard lineups wit dray at the 5 like it’s 18 the reason we continue to give up easy looks defensively and it don’t help that we jus look like we don’t want to play

Jevon

Said "Oh for fuck's sake!" with his whole body. GP2 with his head in his hands in the corner too.

Ken

Who is responsible for people knowing the rotations? Who is responsible for making sure players are practicing layups? If it's one guy messing up, it's that guy. When it's a whole team, it's the coach.

Mike Peterson

No I get that and you're right. But at the same time, when he's putting up damn near 30 a night when not a SINGLE one of his teammates is a threat to score, how can you blame his mindset right now? What more can he do? The dude is trying to save his energy on defense so he can score because he knows quite literally no one else will. Moody is supposed to be young, athletic, and have length. That should make for a good defender. And yet....dude is probably one of the worst on the team. TJD doesnt know what a pumpfake is on offense or defense. Buddy and Lindy are either hitting 3s or they belong on the bench refilling Steph's water bottle. Draymond is like a club bouncer but the club has gone out of business now and its been replaced with a supermarket. The fuck is he doing here anymore? He's services no longer translate to the construction of this roster.

Jansen E

The vibes on this were a catastrophe. Their temperamental star gets benched while ours run the team but have also given up on the team. We can't score inside on anybody without Kuminga. Teams know it. The Heat were laughing before tip off. They know they will out work us with ease. Not having to guard the interior in an nba game is a night off for the defense, and the juice that gives to the opposing team's offense cannot be understated. The Warriors are a night off with a three ball wildcard on everybody's scouting report.

Rory Noone

I would put FO, Dray, Kerr in that order. Dray has been a destructive force for years now. I would leave Steph out of the blame game because he is all we've got. Without him we are the worse team in the league. We have a serious talent deficit while all our western competitors are reaching their prime.

Alex Kay

It's over, y'all. Get Kerr outta here but give him his flowers on the way out for knowing all along that Moody was trash 😂😂

yan't get right

Steph deserves a lot for his accomplishments but a championship team REQUIRES a superstar that doesn't take plays off. If steph deserves to take plays off, then he just isn't a winning superstar anymore. But yeah, you're right: something big has gotta give.

yan't get right

On paper they are.. but you have to factor in variance. A guy can have a really great shooting night followed by 2-3 bad ones… and his percentages can look good. Remember how bad Klay looked last year? He shot 39% regardless 😂. Klay would explode for two nights… followed by a week of mediocrity However.. as a team… we are 27th.. in open shot makes. Might as well say last. We are only above the Raptors… Hornets.. and 76ers. We can literally have a coaching staff allstar team.. they cant coach you into making open shots. 27th is ridiculous

Ballin Forever

We have a bunch of pieces that don't fit and a team that doesn't care. Both of those things are on Kerr. For years he's played connectors/"high IQ"/vets over talent/size/youth. They tailored the roster to that preference. It doesn't work anymore. Think about what a well-coached team looks like: they're prepared, they give high effort, and they have good fundamentals. From youth ball on up, if you don't try hard, if you don't pay attention (Draymond), that's on the coach. If a team can't hit open lay-ins, if they don't make free throws, that's on the coach. (And Trayce, FFS, work on that right hand. Mikan drills, bud.) I know "it's easy to blame the coach" but sometimes it is the coach.

Mike Peterson

i agree Unc.. and I do think a new voice is needed and that will help with some of the energy and issues with intensity. But my mouth literally hit the floor when I saw we were practicing last in open shot makes. Alot of that could be mental tho..

Ballin Forever

I’m over it. These boys don’t want to hoop or coach or anything. They gettin free checks to bs at this point🤦🏽‍♂️

Davion Green

I have tried to call it down the line with Steve and be fair.. But at the end of the day if a team stops playing hard or believing the coach got to go

Athletic Alchemy

2nd game I’ve turned off this week. Anyone else have fond memories of Stackhouse actively coaching D thru entire possessions? If players aren’t gonna talk… I’m ready for the Dray trade, as this kind of game has become far too common from him. “Like Jamaal Mashburn” was largely on Dray, and tough to watch. The juice is no longer worth the squeeze, as someone once said. Ok, once not getting back in transition…but routinely? Not attacking, even dicing up a zone in the middle was pathetic, and highlights our lack of paint scoring options. Play hard, leave it on the court…and I’ll keep watching and rooting. Let go of the rope routinely, and the switch goes off. Send us SoCal’ers some best wishes, as it’s pretty bad, many friends hit hard, evacuated… 🙏

Chip Tingle

I know everyone will be pointing their fingers at Kerr until we get a new coach and then begin complaining about them. But i will say this... Warriors are currently 27th in OPEN shot conversion. And thats WITH Steph. We are 17th in open shot attempts... and 27th in open shot makes. So we can point our finger at Kerr and everyone else. But if we are basically the WORST team in the NBA at making open shots... idc who is coaching... we not going to win alot of games. Those missed OPEN shots lead to transition opportunities and easy point for the opposing team.

Ballin Forever

I think Kerr was spoiled by a lot of high IQ role players, and so hands-on, micro-managing doesn't even occur to him; but this team requires it! He leaves Hield in as if he's Klay who will be able to "find his shot", he is not Klay! Bench him for being clueless! Get in their faces and COACH. That's what annoys me, like how much are you getting paid for these dudes to just run around like chickens with no head.

Allison Hendrix

I had high hopes for Buddy and Moses, but it really looks like they got to go!

Dial T for Tech

It's been disgusting to watch last game too, it's gonna be another rollercoaster season 🤦

Wuwu

Get me Zion. Watching him last night, he is electric. I don't care about his injury history, or that he looks like a water balloon, he will fundamentally shift the dynamic of this team like no other player out there (who is at least possibly available) would.

Ryan Farber

Me too I’m tired of him missing all those layups and missing defensive rotations 🤦🏻‍♂️ he gotta go

Jose poline

Kerrs reaction to moody spacing out on Tyler Hero 💀💀

Alaase Shambe

steve and mike should be fired and they should’ve been fired a while ago.

Dami I

I'm ready for the YouTube pod to hit lol. But no seriously, as someone who watches every game back, I'm curious to know what you see/believe are the top 3 root causes of the issue currently. Becautfrom I see, it looks like a failure from ALL parties. Steph Dray, Kerr, and Front office personnel decisions.

Jarell Greer

The only silver lining i see for this team doing bad is that we get to see more of Alc turning up in the breakdowns 🤣🤣🤣

Elvis

I'm ready to jump on the Kerr-hate-train.

Sander Sokk

That was repulsive. But not unexpected. And that’s a bigger problem. Have you seen the graph showing just how bad the Warriors are on layups and free throws? It’s almost comedic. It really is amazing how they have no physicality outside ofJonathan Kuminga. I think we all are ready for some gigantic trades regardless. Draymond to Detroit? Wouldn’t mind it at this point. But it’s possible nobody would want him.

Paul Hanson

Nahhh the Moody clip made me spit out my drink in class 😭

Dane Aiken

This team is cooked, last night was hard to watch.

Dr. Sanjin

Well I don’t wear headphones so no problem there. I thought you were restrained-you could have yelled more. Did you notice how Kerr rarely talks with his coaches? The team is imploding before our eyes. Though I have been slow coming to this conclusion, I think Kerr needs to go. Stotz should be at the helm for the rest of the season. The whole organization is tighter than a drum. It revolves around Kerr.

Joan McErlean

I think we might need a change of personnel at the 2 position. Like straight up overhaul, buddy, Moses, get ‘em OUT. There are so many more consistent defenders AND shooters out there, we need to go get one, on top of getting a big

Yungdoms

This shit is disheartening to watch. Im not trying to see Steph go out like Kobe, I want him to be competitive. This two timeline thing is BS! They need to ship the whole fucking team out and get Steph a bunch of 3&D Wings, a FUCKING stretch 5, players who can attack the basket cause we dont do it unless JK is playing. This shit is ridiculous! Im tired of watching these games, they are pointless, we are wasting time

Kahlil Baker

"Moody get off my team nigga!" 😂😂😂😂

james moore

Oh man. This is one of those times where we DEFINITELY get to comment before watching. Not only because Im anticipating an absolute riot that we all know and love to expect from you Alch, but because after that public shit taking against the Kings, this team plays a team who just had a DOUBLE OT back to back? As far as Im concerned, while we do get annoyed with Steph's lackadaisical efforts every now and then, fuck it. A 4 time champ, 2 time MVP, 37 year old DESERVES to take plays off when he fucking wants to. As for all the other YMCA scrubs that suit up alongside him. There just arent even words man. Blow it up. If dickheads out here think Cam Johnson is worth 2 FRPs, then Steph is worth at least 12 right? I would love for Steph to finish his career only in blue and gold. But at what cost? We just talked about how we didnt want to "Kobe" him. This is beyond pathetic at this point. Fire Kerr, kick Draymond to the curb, trade curry for everything he's worth and more and just start over. This shit is unwatchable.

Jansen E

Threes are free defense is key in todays nba….

Kenny Bobby

Personally I’m tired of hearing the “talent deficit” line for this team, I mean look at the heat and their undrafted player paradise, if you see it that way you aren’t looking at this correctly. The brand of basketball here requires EVERYONE to play up a position and both guard and beat guys bigger than them, THAT requires talent. What doesn’t require talent is fundamental basketball, you only got away with this stuff before because the “talent” you had was two to three of the greatest scorers, and a generational defender who was 6’6, truly this team never learned to win without talent of apex calibre. To put it another way, competition is about optimization, if after near a decade no team plays like you do, then you aren’t following the optimized fundamentals anymore and making that work requires talent. Although I can say this: if every player you got can’t dribble, play angles correctly, hit free throws, beat a 2-3 zone, or make a fuckin layup then at what point do I look at the organization vs the individual players?

Sarcasm 360

Alch I cant believe we miss kuminga this much.Warriors were atleast mid with him. At least they competed. They like a mediocre team in the west all season but now they look like bottom feeders. They are gonna be several games under .500 before he comes back or a trade is made.

mr.bean

Business decisions 😂

Yungdoms

I’m really not inclined to give Steph a hard time man, he’s literally out there playing 1v5. That’s just gotta be exhausting

Billy Roberson

deadass the breakdowns are the only thing I look forward to now lmao

Andrew Lee

I was going to fly out to SF next weekend to go to the game against the Wizards. Nah, I'll keep my money. This team isn't worth it.

Derrick Maples

Was disgusting to watch this game.
