Man if they could make those open shots and stop missing layups they’d be so much better. Defense would hold up better and less exhaustion from transition defense

2025-03-30 19:39:32 +0000 UTCI play ice hockey, and I took a puck to the inner knee from a teammate like nearly 2 months ago at this point. He was just flipping the puck into the zone, wasn't even a hard shot, and we obviously wear kneepads...but it didn't matter, it just hit me right on the button where there's not enough padding. I thought I broke my damn knee. Thankfully, after maybe 30 seconds of writhing on the ice I realized it was structurally OK, just hurt like a mofo. Thankfully it was the end of the game, and by my game the following week I felt good enough to play. But again, that's because of the kneepads -- if I was hooping, I don't know if I would have felt good enough to go. And I can STILL feel it on my knee, like 6 weeks later. It's crazy. Hopefully JK didn't get it as bad as I did.
