He went to Cranbrook. That's a private school!

Nathan Glanzer

Watching game 5 and 6 hoping you get game 7 uploaded before I'm done lol

Nathan Glanzer

It's fair game to discretely apply pressure to another players injury but it's totally illegal to intentionally try to cause a player injury. The nba is being disingenuous with its application of the rules to suit their need to make $$$$$$. Example 1. If they gave Steph all the FTs he deserves, he would be averaging 40 pts and ahead of LBJ. 2. They allow players to mug Steph in their attempt to slow him or hindering from scoring. 3. The allow Brooks to swipe at Steph always because if the applied the rule, GSW would have swept HOU and no $$$$ in that. It's a entertainment business that use sports as the vehicle not a sport that has a business component attached to it. ******* 1. Flagrant Foul Rule – Rule 12B, Section IV This is the primary rule that addresses harmful conduct: > “A flagrant foul is unnecessary and/or excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent.” There are two types: Flagrant 1: Unnecessary contact. Flagrant 2: Unnecessary and excessive contact (includes intent to injure), leading to immediate ejection. Targeting a known injury, if deemed deliberate and dangerous, can be penalized as a Flagrant 2 foul. 2. Conduct Detrimental to the Game – Rule 12A, Section V > “No player shall commit any unsportsmanlike act… including deliberately attempting to injure an opponent.” This broader rule gives the league the ability to: Fine players Suspend players Impose other disciplinary actions, even if no foul was called in-game 3. Repeat Offender Policy The NBA also considers a player’s history when assessing penalties. A player with a reputation for dirty play (e.g., Grayson Allen, Draymond Green in certain cases) may face stricter penalties for similar actions. Summary Yes, it is against NBA rules to intentionally target or injure another player. The relevant rules are: Rule 12B, Section IV (Flagrant Fouls) Rule 12A, Section V (Unsportsmanlike Conduct)

My Nigga at the ending. Make papa Dray proud. LMAO

Mark Tan

I would go with: Kerr's an Idiot.

Paul LaDue

As fun as the Spencer ejection was, this is the truth. I think Pat knew it too and was trying to get out of the fray but Alpi was on target with who they needed to get out of the game. If he’d stayed in i think our momentum keeps rolling. Really pathetic that the Rockets go to mentality is to try to get the best players on the other team out of the game instead of trying to beat them. This moment makes it super clear that that is Houston’s default approach. Just obvious these guys play scared.

James Royer

I was immediately confused by this as it happened. From all the interviews since it seems like the three quick fouls are the story. Honestly it seems like after the way the last game in HOU went, they just looked at the whole thing and came in expecting a terrible whistle and when it showed up instantly they just intentionally dropped the rope. Vets saying “no point in going to the mat when the cards are this stacked against us and we don’t need it”. Frankly embarrassing for the league to have top level games go this way, but savvy from the Dubs.

James Royer

The word is L-O-S-E.

Paul LaDue

In pretty much every sport that doesn’t wear helmets. It’s a recipe for instant bloody mess and concussions if you let it happen bare faced. Also, lacrosse is for psychopaths.

James Royer

Dillon Brooks — trying so hard fronting as a thug. He grew up upper middle class in Canada. Bitch, please.

Bailey

Alc considering Dubs bench performance in game 5 I want to finish you attitude and Spence and TJD I ain't scare of you, I will knock your head off, and our starters perpetual slow starts that lead to double digit deltas within the 1st quarter, here is what I think should be Kerr response after first checking his own, my She-IT don't stink, l know what's best and delusional attitude that a 37 year old Cheft with a bad thumb and glut challenged Jimmy can be Batman and Robin for 40 plus mins against a young, athletic and energetic HOU time with nothing to loose 🏀 Updated Starting Lineup Given the current recent performances and need, here's myb starting lineup aimed at countering Houston's early-game surges and making waybforbthe bench to be more dominent in the middle before the big closers come on in the fourth. 1. Stephen Curry (PG) – The offensive maestro, essential for orchestrating plays and providing scoring punch. 2. Brandin Podziemski – A reliable secondary ball-handler and shooter, offering spacing and playmaking. 3. Jimmy Butler – Brings defensive tenacity and veteran leadership; crucial for setting the tone early. 4. Jonathan Kuminga – Provides athleticism and energy, essential for matching Houston's pace and aggression. 5. Draymond Green – Defensive anchor and playmaker, facilitating ball movement and anchoring the defense. Kuminga should be featured with a Mike Tyson/Sugar Ray riddle attack to stop HOU free for all aggressive and make them expend energy thinking and stopping GSW asault. We all know the big three can work off of anyone and get themselfs started whenever they need to. They can conserve their emergy towill focus on closing the game. 🔄 Bench Unit To maintain the bench's dominance over Houston's second unit but with a more mirrored ineup, I would include: Pat Spencer – Offers ball-handling and playmaking off the bench. Buddy Hield – A sharpshooter who can stretch the floor and provide instant offense. Moses Moody – Brings energy and defensive versatility, capable of guarding multiple positions. Trayce Jackson-Davis / Gui Santos (PF) – Depending on matchups, both offer rebounding and interior presence. Quinten Post – Provides size and rim protection, essential for anchoring the second unit's defense. Buddy should be featured as a mirror off ball microve assassin and everthing else flow from there. What you all think?

Dale Happy Knowles

you greatly overestimate JK’s dribbling ability.

Ivan

Should refs consider Brooks’ slapping on Curry’s thumb as flagrant foul deeming it unnecessary contact, considering that Brooks admitted that he is doing it intentionally? One thing is playing hurt ankle side, but direct physical contact is another level.

Ivan

A lot to ask of a 37 year old small guard who has to sprint a marathon on offense.

Neal X

Just want to say, Ive been looking forward to this moment where I get to relax and watch your recaps on the game. It’s been a long day but this is my reward, watching you analyze, even tho the first half of the game was ass when watching live, still excited haha. You’re doing a great job! 💐

Breezin23

Would like to see Steph be more physical in defense and offense

Erin Laskey

I'm not going to laugh at the Lakers going out until we put the Rockets away. Bad juju.

Neal X

How can you tell anyone is targeting a shooting thumb? The shooting hand has the ball. The defender is jumping toward the ball. When they miss the ball, what is behind the ball? The shooting hand, fingers, and thumb. Thus, isn't there a good chance they will hit one of those things that are behind the ball? It just seems like some kind of calculated "strategic" complaining. I'm sad to see Steve Kerr and the Dubs channeling the ghost of "Houston we have a problem" Daryl Morey, who famously submitted a lengthy report to the league of how the refs cheated the Rockets by (among other things) NOT calling fouls on the Rockets and then 10 seconds later the Dubs scored. Just silly. And embarrassing.

Point Gawd

So I get that JK couldn't have played even if we wanted him, but if he's back, I reiterate what I said last breakdown -- I think he's the perfect guy to (1) break zone on offense and (2) face guard VanVleet -- VanVleet is too good at hitting tough running 3's, so you have to try someone with great speed and length on him, and we have only one guy who has those attributes. I want Kerr to use him as the attack dog. If he's still sick well... then pray to the law of averages.

Neal X

Draymond, get Officer Pat on the pod asap!

Julian Mihdi

not sure about starting but honestly I'm all for giving Knox a share of Moody's minutes at this point. Knox looks ready and serviceable

Julian Mihdi

Warriors are adrenaline junkies. When there’s a challenge for them or a chance to provr themselves that’s when they wake up

Coreyy

Lol. Draymond with Pat!

Steve

there's a no head butting rule in the NBA?

Mikey H

MacAdoo, Mulder, and now Moody?? Hoping he and Trayce develop their offensive game afterwards.

theycallmemiyagi

Why are you talking about him after a Game 5 loss that he didn't play? Move on, he's going to get sign and traded this offseason.

Captain Rossco

Moody the garbage time goat.

Lenny

KNOWING THAT BROOKS IS INTENTIONALLY TRYING TO SLAP/HIT STEPH’S THUMB, DID KERR ASSIGN STEPH TO COVER BROOKS?

Sqk

Fire hydrant 🤣 I wish a stray dog come by and relieve himself on the hydrant

Sqk

why did Kerr start Buddy instead of Post?

Sqk

"more rolls than a torta in spandex" too good!

Grizzly Thief

Mentally I know how these garbage time runs go, but I couldn’t help it, there was a part of me that was thinking, “this nka Pat Spencer might fuck around and Houston’s season…”

Ejikeme Uzoigwe

Anyone else notice Draymond holding QP back on the bench when the Spencer-Sengun shit broke out? That had me dying

Ejikeme Uzoigwe

Your jokes definitely lifted my mood haha

Dan Truong

On Kuminga, this looks like intentional strategy to devalue Kuminga going into the offseason where the Warriors can match any offer he gets. Some are suggesting not playing him protects his value but I think it hurts it. An agent will point out his playoff experience coupled with Kerr stifling his development.

Frank Ravizza

Alch, any chance we can hear your closing thoughts on the Wolves/Lakers series. Hilarious to see the Lakers go out so sad after all the media buzz around them.

Jacob

1. Don't think you start Buddy, Podz, Curry. That's way too small. It worked one game at home, but think they solved that. 2. Pat has been balling. Not sure why he don't get mins over Gui 3. We need to take Steph off the ball, obviously his hand compromised. Put the ball in Jimmy hands more. 4.Would love to see TJD and Post lineup. Looney does ok close to the basket, but when they put him in the action and draw him out the lane, he's cooked. TJD can at least guard out on the perimeter some, and has blocking (can't finish still, but Looney can't either, lol) 5. Moody is maddening. He gets aggressive after the starters leave. He so reserved when he plays with the starters you cant play him. 6. Don't think this our year. We're too dependant on young guys. Podz, Moody, Post gonna have ups and downs (Buddy too). Need a vet big and guard (Melton) before we go get that chip.

Chaz G

We all root for the Dubs to win. But don't you think a Houston-Minny series will be more interesting than a GSW-Minny series? Both Houston and Minny are young, athletic teams with the next 5-10 years of contending ahead of them. Thus, the outcome of such a series might trace to major exciting story lines and competition in the next few years. The Dubs storyline--Old team playing old system struggling for one last chance at glory against youth while the coach brings the generational conflict into the team by icing out their most promising young player--is just not generally interesting. It is so not interesting Kuminga is barely if ever even mentioned in the telecasts. But tell me that if they don't win a title Kerr's treatment of Kuminga won't loom large over the whole fiasco?

Point Gawd

On targeting Curry’s shooting thumb: If I were in the locker room I would tell Curry to start targeting their face on his follow through. A couple of good eye pokes will create some pause.

Frank Ravizza

Notice Draymond was pulled early? He had foul trouble but was allowed to play with foul trouble most of the prior game. This signaled to me Kerr took the loss early and was protecting Draymond from Houston’s WWE acts so he could be available for game 6. Edit: Draymond only had one foul so he was pulled even without foul trouble. Also notice there was a stretch in Q2 without Jimmy nor Curry signaling Kerr conceding this contest early.

Frank Ravizza

"Its as if he doesnt wanna make money. " Kinda the opposite: He doesn't want to risk serious injury playing for a coach (and thus team) that is DNPing him in the most meaningful games of the season when he has no contract with anyone for next year at this point.

Point Gawd

Quick note: Houston is the 10th largest media market in the US. Note also that Phoenix is 12, Minny is 15. Dubs are 6th. Cleveland 17th. Miami 16th, Denver 18th. . . . Houston and the Dubs are not what we typically think of as small markets. . . . Or did I misunderstand what you meant? If so, sorry.

Point Gawd

I thought he wasn't on bench either for last couple games but he been on the floor. He was out "sick", but I definitely think he knows he done after this year. Either a sign and trade or straight up not getting re-signed.

Chaz G

Garbage units rarely roll over because they are playing to impress their next potential employer. So, no mind-f or anything. Dubs have been on the winning side and the losing side of that tendency, as have probably every team in the league. It doesn't mean anything.

Point Gawd

Imo these guys knew they were punting 2 days ago. The vets want rest. I half expected kuminga and trayce to start. Asked AI: "AI Overview +2 It's impossible to determine the exact amount Joe Lacob makes per playoff game, as it's based on a complex revenue sharing model within the NBA. However, the Warriors, as a whole, generate significant revenue during the playoffs, raking in about $7 million in gross revenue per home playoff game. This revenue is then distributed among the team, including owners like Lacob, according to established financial agreements"

Daniel Fries

Missed the last two games with three big deadlines. Two I made, one more coming up, so I'll be brief. My preference-->Kuminga's agent has asked the team to not play him because they would be setting him up to fail, and the chance of injury before his next contract is too high given Kerr has never committed to him in 4 years. What probably happened-->They learned from trying to play a sick Podz that when a player is sick you need to put them on ice so they can heal as soon as possible.

Point Gawd

Weeeeeeell I cant say this game went that much different than expected. Im curious what the Kerr-era Warriors record is in road game 5s when theyre up 3-1. Its gotta be terrible cuz I swear they lose those every single time without fail lol. The referees were no surprise either. The Pacers-Bucks series ended quickly, but two small market teams so no one, especially not Silver and the NBA, cared. But we all knew there was NO CHANCE the Warriors were gonna get a fair whistle. Im not even talking about a favorable whistle. Just a fair, equal whistle for both teams. Right off the bat, it was clear that wasnt going to happen. Couple that with the bad energy, Steph and Jimmy still clearly being less than 100%, being on the road, and the desperation from the Rockets, this wasnt that surprising. But I agree with your positives. The starters having to come back in is HILARIOUS and pathetic from the Rockets. I dont know if it should mean more minutes for TJD. But for Officer Pat? I definitely agree that with Steph clearly not being able to handle the ball as much, and Podz being a little too small and not having great vision, Pat needs to be given some meaningful minutes. All this fake tough guy shit from these Rockets players reminds me of the Kings from just a couple seasons ago. Major "little bro" energy. These guys cry at the first sign of serious contact. Officer Pat has got more real toughness in his mustache than the entire Houston roster. Also my potentially controversial opinion: Steph shouldve sat this game. I know thats unrealistic to ever expect him to do in the playoffs. But it looked BAD in that picture. Just rule him out with an injury at that point. This game was a given L. Thats all fine. Not too upset with it. That being said. Game 6 is even more MUST WIN than normal. They need it because they need the rest to end the series before round 2. They absolutely can NOT go back to Houston for game 7. And giving these degenerates even a SNIFFING opportunity to win, coupled with these Warriors' habit of blowing must-win games the last few years, you do not want to dance with the devil there. I wish I could donate my thumb to Curry. That injury alone makes me extremely nervous about game 6. Win at all costs. Knox. Spencer. TJD. Whatever it takes. Hell, have Braxton Key go in there and dive at a loose ball at Senguns knee. Nothing dirty obviously! Right, rockets fans? Its just good hustle!!!

Jansen E

The question is, would Steph?

Carla Davis

Kuminga been missing since Jimmy came back. He hasn't even been on the bench. So he's either really really sick or something else is up. This would have been a great type for him to get some playing time with no pressure.

Carla Davis

How sick was Kuminga? Podz played sick as hell earlier in the series. Can we sign and trade Kuminga to get Wiggins back?

Windfury

In all seriousness, that bench unit had a chance to win it, and they let themselves get taunted into an ejection that ended their run. One thing Houston is good at is taunting to get us out of rhythm.

B Master

how about we start Knox instead if Moody ? and Tryce comes of the bench with Post and takes Looney's minutes ?

Naji Zouhari

Don't you think its a bit of a mind fuck, like ok you came out swinging- locked in and ready to play your best- and we're like, 'eh we'll just sit our starters and beat you another day. And on top of that, our garbage unit is gonna come in and not roll over!! I like it!

Allison Hendrix

I totally missed that kuminga was out cuz he was sick. That just looks super weak sauce given the timing. Its as if he doesnt wanna make money.

Kenny Bobby

Don’t forget a packing order. First you check for Steph and Jimmy, then other guys.

Ivan

he didn’t flinch

Ivan

Stackhouse’s reaction to Braxton smoking that layup got me rolling 😂😂😂😂

Jalen Kennedy

he was out with illness

B Master

Why not use Kuminga in game 6 if Houston keeps going to the zone. He can cut to the basket better than the rest, other than Jimmy. And add "Ain't Fraid of Sengun "TJD into the mix early.

Pat Harrington

For a second, I thought the bench unit was going to take this game!! They were rolling. Podz has some type of tunnel vision, he often misses QP wide open on the weak side and just completely missed Buddy wide open this game. Idk what his issue is but he needs better court vision

Kahlil Baker

man idk about this buddy POA type guy. if gui doesn't get in foul trouble like crazy i think gui should take more of his minutes. TJD and post should def be our centers in this game 6 they both involved in the bs the rockets doing and loon a cone man. if moody doesn't be aggressive i say play pat with that 3G lineup steve plays and let him destroy the zone

Mikaeel Janjua

This is the worst case scenario for us. We have to play a game six while Minnesota is sitting pretty with extra rest. Ant eliminated KD from the playoffs last year. He just eliminated LeBron. Is Steph next?

Jimmy Ji

Sengun is an elite instigator. Just a shameless punk. Sneaky with it too. Question: Would y'all take him over Draymond?

Ken

Sengun so fake tuff all he did was smile n look at the ref till he got held back then start talking crazy held back😂

Jay

They mentioned he was out with an illness during the game

Nicolas Gonzalez

We need to respond Friday. Our guys are chipped up enough and now that Minnesota is moving on we can’t risk playing any more games
