I think it more likely KP would be the fourth, (honorary) geezer--joining Dray, Steph, and JB in needing serious load management. It would be a challenge, as the team would need those 4 in order to win enough to make the playoffs and avoid the play-in, but would also need to protect those 4 enough that all 4 would enter the playoffs healthy enough to make a serious run. The more players needing load-management you add, the harder it will be to do both of those things, and the more likely that despite your efforts an untimely injury to one of your key players kills the dream anyway.

Kerr’s adjustments would not have worked, Steph would have been too exhausted to play well, Kerr wouldn’t have even considered Kuminga. And the Wolves never really had to exert themselves playing against GSW. Less painful this way.

Maybe THEN the Dubs could run an offense for the talented players they have instead of an offense for the talented players they HAD. And maybe THEN Dray will be controllable (in the sense of bullies know who they can and cannot mess with, and the new coach would have to be the latter).

You'd think with a 37 year old point guard a coach would have already realized they can't run the same offense that player ran 10 years ago. But not Steve Kerr. That record does raise a lot of questions. Unfortunately, because losing in round 2 can be blamed on Steph's injury, the kind of deep reflection needed to improve things is probably not going to happen. So, I expect next year will be more of the same. My only hope is JK is elsewhere so I can see him grow as a player, because, unfortunately, it is not gonna happen here.

Thinking about Kerr and rotations and the problem is that the Ws lack cohesion because they play 11-13 deep instead of 8-10 deep. There’s not enough reps developing cohesion and trust. This shows up when Steph isn’t around to bail them out.

His percentage is always decent in the first quarter. He just can't shoot when his stamina slowly runs out except when it's a l clutch shot.

A better version of iggy obviously but I think him and Draymonds fit aren’t so bad. As long as we get the spacing necessary next to them they will thrive, along with a big who’s playable in draymonds spot. Someone who when dray fouls out or gets ejected we can rely on to be big, rebound, and defend because loon is cooked, TJD is too small, and Post isn’t strong enough YET

That dip is the foundation of all of his problems offensively. But here is the funny part... He checks in the game during garbage time.. (cant remember which one of this series).. he dribbles down the court into a hesi pull and the release looked quick and snappy. To me.. Moses suffers from confidence. I wonder if him being constantly benched.. in and out of the lineup caused alot of damage to his confidence. He is such a good dude to the point he is almost scared to make mistakes and try things. Thats typically the downside to humble guys in sports. They are almost too meek.

Steph Jimmy and Dray becomes Parker Manu and Duncan. We essentially went into playoff mode far too early. If we can cement ourselves as a top 6 seed next year.. we will be able to take our foot off the gas earlier. Use some "load management" like Popp did. Ive always thought this coming up season was the last true run. Get all of these vets rested.... get Jimmy a full training camp... pad our roster with more offense...

Which ever serious consideration has to be with Steph as Robin if Draymond contract is worth his production. We need a center as Dray can not out skill and wit these new bread and over sized veteran centers in the league. He has to play mostly PF now or he will not last not just physically but mentally. I think he goes off when he is busting his Arse playing against theae bigs and then ref and his teammates doing crappy effort. As we age we become less tolerant of such.

His complete lack of offensive skills and talents (not just shooting, but everything else too on that side of the floor) means there are very limited type of players we can bring in, and those players are too expensive for us to move for with our current salary structure. You mentioned JK is a steph issue, I believe it is as big of a draymond issue too, they truly do not fit at all. In fact, who does draymond fit? Nobody. He doesn’t FIT Steph, he uses steph’s gravity to mask his lack of skill and talent. I can’t think of any other star in the league who can win with draymond, that’s how detrimental he is to an offense. Then he starts throwing possessions away on defense too? 2025-05-15 22:47:45 +0000 UTCYou all keep bring up high IQ players but we don't need that. We need high IQ coaches which we have but we also need high EQ, SQ and AQ players and coaches. I think we have that save for Kerr. I 1000% agree with Alc that Kerr is stuck in his delusion that the system he designed to Unleash Steph is the best for Dubs today. It's the best to maximize Steph and Klay (Buddy) but not today's team. Kerr AQ is subpar at this stage in the game and if he is not going to trust anyone other than Steph then he might as well retire as Steph at going on 38 running 2 mile games will not be sustainable. Steph needs to be Robin, Jimmy - Alfred and JK Batman. Dray to yhe bench or trade his $100m contract for a big who can play both sides. This year should prove to Kerr that no one can replace Steph in a line up so when he goes out the Dubs are now suffering the same fate as what allowed the Dubs to beat LeBron so many times. It's always been LBJ way or no way and no one can replace him when he goes to the bench. Before Dubs had Klay who is no Steph but the closest to him in many aspects. Buddy is the same but differently for a lower ceiling due to his defense limitations. We have seen this year when Kerr takes players out of their rythym so they can cater to Steph, the team suffers. And what's with everything another player gets hit besides BP and Jimmy, Kerr is quick to sits them instead of feeding them till the cool off. He even does it to Steph but he just that good he can relight his fire anytime. We need strong EQ, SQ and AQ players which Steph alluded to we have the first two in the locker room now.

You say so many things I could relate with which I found others were too fake to admit, it became boring, particularly considering about 10 years ago I correctly picked every single playoff game in the playoffs. It became too predictable the nba script playing. But the way you break down games you make it interesting, something to think about.. Thank you! On that note here is something to think about. Air Congo came off the bench to limit JK pay day cap. He also DNP because if he beasted out they would have to pay him more to keep him. Kerr rolled the dice once Jimmy impact yielded so many wins. Kerr got delusional that Steph Jimmy and Dray could carry this team and used Jimmy/JK could not play together to manage their asset value. Pure economic gangsterism which the players association should look into but it was not till GSW back was really against the wall that he was forced to remove the shackles off JK. JK answered all questions and will get his bag so DUBs might as well had played JK as we would have been sitting long time waiting for the other team to play in the next round. Steph and sidekicks would have been rested. I believe JK will be here next year and either Dray or Jimmy will be morn unless JK agree to a contract low end in first 2 years and guaranteed high end the next 3 for $180M or more. In 2 years it wiuld be JK team. Can you imagine what the year would have been if Jimmy came in before preseason. Next year should be awesome. Steph can play any style so if Kerr and Dray adjust their contribution Dubs will be right in the mix. Kerr need to make JK the focal point with Steph playing the Robin and when JK is out the game or not on his best Steph can step in and do his magic. Jimmy needs to take over Dray facilitating and Dray come off the bench. That means Dubs need to go get a big who can bruise the giants in the league like Adam's. Buddy, Podski and Post ticket should be already punched but Moody, TJD, GPII, ... all should be packed to get that big and other 3 and D players with length. What you all think?

By being willing to take a back seat to another, younger superstar by the name of Magic Johnson. So, let's hope the Warriors org understands that we've come as far as we can with Steph as the be-all end-all; let's hope Steph himself realizes it, and let's also hope that we can land Giannis. I think he's entirely gettable if we can offer the likes of Jimmy and Kuminga.

I think we can agree this two timelines strategy failed, especially considering Kerr is not a development coach to carry out such task. My proposal for the future is to retool the roster on the cheap with some battle tested europeans aside from 3 and d players. Sasha Vezenkov for example is a stretch four, great shooter, a champion and euroleague's MVP. We saw what he could do against us when we played Sacramento last year. Bojan Bogdanović is a great scorer and NBA tested too.

People like to say "If we had Jimmy from game 1, we would've been the ____ seed!!!" But just look at what transpired here. For starters, Jimmy is notorious for not trying early in the season. And then with his playstyle, he's probably bound to get injured at some point (much like he did here). If we had him for 82 games, instead of 30, how much more winning does he contribute to? How much does he have left for the playoffs at this age? I know they are gonna run it back with him, but I just dont see how much better this team can get with both Curry and Jimmy being the ages they are. Factor all that in with the huge question marks of every single other role player on this team, and Draymond Green, and its hard to see this team being much better next season. We are almost all in agreement that Draymond has to go. But he's a double edged sword. We are both better with him and worse without him. If we get rid of him, who anchors our defense? No one has chemistry with Steph like Dray. Who can replace Draymond that will make our offense THAT much better that it makes up for the sacrifice of losing him on defense? And then Kuminga. This off season will be extremely interesting. Right now Im just begging that the 49ers can have an easier season next year lol. We got that cupcake schedule and I STILL dont trust Shanahan to not be a dipshit and overthink hahahaha. Regardless, Im looking forward to your Valkyrie breakdowns! Thanks for everything Alch!

2025-05-15 20:41:23 +0000 UTCGreat start to the season, that was completely flipped in the middle and we were at the bottom. One trade got us back to the top. We beat the 2 seed who we have been beating on for a decade at this point. Injuries hurt us alot. Coaching hurt us. The unbalanced roster hurt us the most. If we address the rotations and get a balanced roster it will help keep steph and Jimmy's minutes down and that may keep them from getting hurt. Jimmy not playing good was cool with me. I remember falling on my tailbone and it hurting for 4 months. Draymond needs to work on his 3 and not throwing predictable passes. My daughter doesn't even now basketball but she could tell you Draymond about to pass the ball to steph.

2025-05-15 20:28:26 +0000 UTCOne of my work associates said this isbthe first time in Kerr decorated career as a 9 Chip elite competitor that he has had 4 straight looses on the playoffs and it's only since 30 was not present. To me all the decorated coaches made adjustments to get the best out of their teams so I thought to see if there was a trend. All of the core rotational player performed at an elite level at some point during the season. That led me to believe we had the weapons to be in the WCFs. Lets recap. As of the conclusion of the this season, I believe Kerr's coaching record without Curry stands at: Regular Season: 81 wins – 116 losses Playoffs: 9 wins – 7 losses Combined Total: 90 wins – 123 losses Overall Winning Percentage: Approximately **42.2%** Hmmm! Not good at all. So is he all that?

2025-05-15 20:09:49 +0000 UTCI just don't see how hoping to get 65+ games out of a 38 yo guard and a 36 yo physical forward AND 16 high intensity playoffs games is anywhere near realistic. Alc you called it before the Jimmy trade that injuries are a big part of why the trade wasn't perfect and you've always been right about it. This is the difference between the Dubs dynasty and the Spurs, the Spurs weren't 100% dependant on Duncan toward the end. The offense needs to be less Steph dependant.
