I keep trying to g to tell people that the WNBA players are tougher than the NBA players, coaches not giving timeouts for injury is an example of that. These players don’t really want the timeout either because if they are rolling around on the ground and the coach has to give up a timeout, that player is going to find their ass on the bench if the coach thinks the player was faking it. The coaches do not play in the W, and if they try to, they find themselves out of the league with the quickness. It’s a fucking shark tank and if you show weakness, someone is always ready to take your job, whether you’re a coach or a player. Players cannot get coaches fired in this league, they aren’t at the same place the NBA is, so a player who doesn’t like their coach should ask for a trade because the coach isn’t going anywhere.
