On the plus side, she fouls a lot, but if they replace her with Natasha Howard, that’s not better for us. I was hoping Burton could handle CC, but after tonight’s game, I’m really not sure. I think these players that we resigned were all cut because their defense wasn’t quite aggressive enough, it doesn’t look good at all. And Eurobasket out started, they have 4-5 days of games, I think, before they even get to the quarterfinals, so we won’t see any of our players back for at least 10 days. I think this is a good challenge for Nakase and she has a lot of leeway since they are an expansion team. But Bay Area fans want to see energy and effort from their team at all times. Not winning is one thing, not giving your all is not something the fans can cheer for. And tickets and food at Chase are too expensive for the players not to go all out and give us a show with their energy and effort.

Not only loss 3 starters, but they lose I believe their most important all around player in Temi. She does all the little stuff (screen setting, boxing out, great mid post passer etc.) and can also put up counting stats. Having only one quality screener now is a problem. This is only Tip's second full game, now you got to redevelop chemistry with among the guards that I just didn't see yesterday. Combine that with all the regular problems they have and I wasn't surprised. They still fought every minute so I'm proud of them. That being said, what Caitlin and Boston brings to the Fever, don't be surprised if they don't get smoked on Thursday no matter what. Hope I'm wrong tho, go Valks!
