But like you said, if he would just try to play less aggressive defense, just get into a stance, and not try to pressure the ball handler so much/reach, he would become a great defender for us. Honestly, he needs to see how horford guards perimeter guys. It’s a weird comp, but his defense on perimeter guys is so disciplined and is predicated off just staying in front of the guy and forcing a jump shot.

2025-10-26 07:50:31 +0000 UTCOne thing I notice about JK’s on ball defense…he sometimes stays parallel with the offensive players face, instead of playing in between the BALL and the BASKET. It happens on the plays where it looks like he’s about to ice a screen. It’s basic stuff like this that I have no idea why it hasn’t gotten corrected by now. He’s been doing this for a while.
