Today I follow Ted Shackley's move to South Florida in 1962 as the JMWAVE station chief. Ted took over the Cuba show and got his first real paramilitary experience. Miami and South Florida were ground zero for the CIA's cultivation of real paramilitary capabilities. I take a close look at the men who worked at JMWAVE, many of whom would follow Shackley to South East Asia in the mid-60s. Finally I take a closer look at the Kennedy Administration's often tense relationship with the CIA, especially on the Cuba file.
