Small break at a familiar town.

Over time, the passengers aboard the ship got used to their new reality, and the atmosphere aboard slowly relaxed.

The other families, whose members were more or less forced by their family head to move from their home, also calmed down and warmed up to Seth and the other ascended aboard the ship.

Seth made a habit of socializing as often as possible. When he was not busy entertaining his women, people usually found him roaming the ship and conversing casually with anyone he could find.

The Howell and the Ashley families were already not that hostile towards Seth, but once he took care of Saif’s problem, and with Julie’s efforts, the Oconnor family also fell in line.

Lisa was still pissed and refused to speak to Seth, but she stopped sulking around and started focusing on her cultivation again. Most of her time was spent in cultivation, rarely leaving her room. When she was not cultivating, she was either visiting the library Seth created on the ship containing ascended knowledge or spending time with her classmates.

Everyone else also focused on their studies, not having many other things they could do on the ship. Aleena also studied the revised earth energy theory Seth prepared for her, excited to have a second try at becoming an ascended.

Maya, Hollie, Tiana, and Henrietta were the ones whose time was also spent on other activities, the fuckroom underneath having a different visitor almost every night. Since Maya and Tiana had long gotten accustomed to each other, they would sometimes share the room.

During the nights it was Hollie’s turn to accompany Seth downstairs, a strange phenomenon occurred on the ship. A series of turbulences would happen out of nowhere. In the beginning, panic would ensue on the vessel each night, but after word traveled around about the truth of the incident, people relaxed and even started gossiping about it.

His mother was also quite upset, refusing to talk to Seth, and Nash had no way to convince her otherwise. Seth was also stumped on how to deal with his mother, so he tried to give her some space to work things out on her own. If, by the time they reached the Blood Kingdom, she still didn’t come to terms with it, he planned on having another talk with her.

It was now year 675 of the Age of the Ascended, early spring.

A month had passed since they left the capital, and Hollie was starting to get exhausted from her constant energy use and not getting any sleep. Seth was somewhat surprised by her insistence on not needing a break, but he eventually discovered why by using the system.

Since he used his lust energy on her occasionally, her stamina would get recharged during sex, giving her a much-required boost to go on.

“Are we close?” asked Hollie while cleaning herself up. Last night, she once more spent it recharging her batteries, but she also needed to get some sleep.

<We should reach the destination in less than three hours.>

“Three hours. We can take a break before then if you want to.”, said Seth, still worried about her.

Hollie shook her head and said: “No need. I can hold on for three hours. Tell me when we reach there, and I’ll take a break while you deal with your things.”

Seth sighed and thanked her again. Creating a set of clothes for himself, he spread open his arms and said: “Come here. I’ll stay with you until we reach there.”

Hollie nodded and covered herself using a thin dress. It was the nightgown she wore before coming there, which Seth teleported to the side when they began their nightly activities. After kneeling down on the soft mattress, she supported the side of her body on Seth and closed her eyes.

Seth wrapped a hand around her waist and rubbed her shoulder gently: “I can answer some more of your questions if you want to. You deserve it after working so hard.”

Hollie seemed to get some energy out of nowhere, so she started a new round of questioning that lasted until Seth received a new notification.

Seth smiled and squeezed Hollie’s shoulder. “We’re here. Stop the ship, and let’s go land it.”

Hollie opened her eyes with a nod and looked at her see-through dress: “Give me something to cover myself first.”

Seth created a cloak for her and teleported them both to the mast of the ship. After checking it with the system and directing the ship towards a dense enough forest where they could land easily, Seth had Hollie lower the vessel.

Soon, the clouds surrounding the ship disappeared, and people started flooding the deck, noticing the change in altitude. Seth looked down at the mass of people on the deck and told Hollie: “Sorry to ask you, but can you project my voice to everyone?”

Hollie nodded, and Seth started addressing the others: “We’re making a small break in a small town on our route. Since most of you have been getting bored, staying here for so long, you are all free to have a look around, but be careful to return by nightfall.”

Seeing that everyone was getting excited, Seth added: “If you meet anyone or head to the small town a mile north from here, make sure you don’t let anyone know of your identity or the destination of our journey.”

It took 20 more minutes until the ship reached the ground. Seth used his destruction energy to clear a place for it to land, and Hollie released a sigh, happy to have her source finally take a rest.

Seth looked towards her tired-looking face and kissed her forehead gently before whispering: “I’m taking you to your room. Have some well-deserved rest.”

Hollie nodded and closed her eyes, falling asleep on her feet, and Seth had to catch her mid-fall. Seth teleported down into her room and gently laid her on her bed. Kissing her lips, he whispered: “Have a peaceful sleep.” before teleporting back to the deck.

Everyone was there waiting for Seth to teleport them down from the ship. Living above the clouds was quite a new experience for everyone, but most of them were still happy to feel the ground under their feet again.

Seth didn’t keep them waiting and created a portal leading down for everyone. It took a while for most of them to leave, and, in the end, only Seth, Maya, Tiana, Henrietta, and Aleena were left on the deck, together with the entire Valdez family.

Caitlin and Leora had gotten quite friendly with the Howell family and left with them to look around the town. Lisa and Alexa also followed their families down the ship.

Seth looked at them and asked: “What do you all want to do?”

Aleena showed him a book she was holding and said: “I’m staying here, that is, if you don’t need me for anything.”

Seth knew she planned on trying to feel her energy, so he nodded, and she went back down into the ship’s hull.

Maya came to Seth’s side and grabbed his arm: “I’m staying with you.”. Seth nodded and looked towards Tiana, but Tiana lowered her head as she asked: “Can I stay here? I want to break through to the third shell.”

Seth knew she put a lot of effort into fixing the errors in her cultivation and had no issue with it. “Sure, please keep an eye on Hollie while you’re here.”

After Tiana nodded and started heading down to her room, Henrietta raised her hand: “I’m also staying here to cultivate.”.

With only the Valdez family left, Seth looked toward them next. Sal said, “We’re going to keep watch over the ship. There might be bandits roaming around the forest.”

“There are none since we are still in the city’s range. Some people might be stumbling upon the ship, but if they come to investigate, try not to hurt them too badly.”

After Sal nodded respectfully, Seth looked at Pearl: “How about you?”.

Pearl had spent the entire journey studying, knowing that the stronger she got, the more help she could provide Seth once they reached the Blood Kingdom.

“I’ll also stay here so I can study, my Lord.”

Seth sighed and nodded. After telling them to take care, Seth looked towards Maya, clinging onto his shoulder: “I guess it’s just the two of us.”

Maya giggled and nodded: “What do you have in mind?”

“I have some people to visit and things to take care of. Are you sure you want to come with me? It’s not really that entertaining.”

After Maya nodded, Seth surrounded them in space energy, and they disappeared from the ship’s deck. The next thing Maya saw was a small town at the base of the hill Seth teleported them on.

“Is this where you were born?” she asked as she curiously watched the place.

“Not even. This is the closest town to the village I grew up in.”, said Seth before extending his arm toward her.

Maya smiled and held his arm as they teleported again, a few feet away from the town gate, and headed inside.

The two guards at the gate immediately stood straight when they noticed the high-quality clothes of the couple approaching.

Once Seth and Maya arrived in front of the guards, they bowed and asked: “Can we ask about the purpose of your visit?”

Seth smiled and nodded: “We’re ascended from the capital, and we’re just passing through.”

The two guards’ faces froze and they immediately fell to their knees. “Please head inside, sir and miss ascended. Forgive our disrespect.”

Not bothering with them, Seth and Maya just nodded and walked inside.

Maya’s sensual looks and bountiful assets attracted the eyes of every man passing by, but none of them dared to approach her since she was attached to Seth’s arm. Their clothes made everyone believe they must be wealthy visitors, so no one was stupid enough to mess with them.

“Good thing I didn’t have to do anything stealthy, or with you around, I would have failed to form the start.”, commented Seth, noticing all the looks they were getting, mostly from men.

Maya giggled, her little act of bringing her hand to cover her mouth, making her breasts bounce up and down, attracting even more hungry looks from all around as she said: “You knew what you got yourself into.”

Seth shook his head, knowing she did it on purpose, and continued walking deeper inside the town. They stopped once they reached a small inn with a crooked sign above its wooden door.

Seth found it somewhat strange not seeing Molly in front but still led Maya inside. Once they entered past the door, Maya looked around the place curiously. She couldn’t find anything noteworthy about it or why Seth might want to visit.

Following the gently ringing of a small bell attached to the upper corner of the door, a crispy voice came from the back of the inn. “Coming.”

Maya heard the young-sounding voice and gave Seth a questioning look. Seth shook his head, knowing what her look meant, and said: “Don’t think anything stupid.”

A teen girl, around 14 years old, rushed out of the back. She was dressed in a simple-looking gown extending from her shoulders to her ankles. A small piece of cloth was placed over her shoulder, and her face was slightly red from sprinting.

Fixing her eyes on her visitors, the girl frowned slightly as they landed on Seth, only for her frowning face to turn into one of doubt as she asked: “Big brother?”

Seth chuckled and nodded: “Hi, Molly. How are you?”

Molly was about to rush forward on instinct when she remembered something and stopped herself after the first step. She respectfully bowed towards Seth and Maya before saying: “Welcome our Inn, the Hidden Page. Do you wish for a room?”

Seth found her respectful tone strange and asked: “Why are you talking like that? It’s still the same old me.”

Molly looked embarrassed as she shook her head: “Father told me to be respectful to you if you ever returned while he’s not here.”

“No need for that.” Said Seth with a laugh, walking up in front of her, “Speaking about the old man, where’s he at?”

Molly had grown up almost as tall as Seth, even though she was only 14. Once Seth arrived in front of her, she looked at him with a shy smile before her eyes drifted to Maya’s bulging peaks. They were pressed against Seth’s arm, but that didn’t decrease the impression they left in any way.

Her expression turned somewhat resigned as she looked down for a moment. Shaking her head to clear her head, she said: “Father is at the guild, spending most of his time there lately. I’ve been taking care of the inn for quite a while now, and he only comes by here late in the evening to sleep.”, turning towards Maya, Molly bowed and said:"  You’re quite beautiful, miss ascended."

Maya smiled and nodded back. “Thank you, sweetheart, and don’t worry. Yours will grow eventually. You’re still young.”. Maya didn’t know who the girl was, but she found her quite adorable.

Seth took the chance to introduce the two of them: “Molly, this is Maya, my lover. Maya, she’s Molly. When I had just left my village, this was the first place I stood at. Both she and her father were a lot of help to me back then.”

Maya nodded and let go of Seth’s arm to extend a hand toward Molly. Molly also raised her hand to grab Maya’s.

After introducing the two, Seth spent a few more minutes chatting casually with Molly before leaving the inn. He only passed by since he wanted to see the two again and had no actual business there.

“Aren’t you going to make a move on her?” asked Maya after walking out of the inn.

Seth looked towards the door and shook his head: “She’s still too young. Besides, our words are too different, and her life won’t be too bad. She fell in love with the son of a merchant who always came by and followed him to become one herself. Having her enter the world of ascended just doesn’t seem right.”

Maya shrugged, not minding having more Seth time for herself before asking: “Where are we going now?”

“Hmm, let’s visit the city lord manor. I’m curious if anything has changed there.”
