Bloody encounter

Inside his mansion, just outside the royal palace, Zaff was lying in his bed, ready to sleep, when an unknown person appeared beside his bed.

Zaff’s body trembled slightly as he jumped to his feet and lifted one of his shaking hands right in front of his body. “I apologize. I didn’t mean to. I had to answer my king’s question.”

Seth canceled the rotation of his perception source as he asked: “You know who I am?”

Zaff remained silent for a moment, trying to calm down his pounding heart, before replying: “Sir, you must be a member of the Council.”

Seth shook his head with a smile, moving towards a large armchair on the side and sitting down. Looking up at the confused Zaff, he said: “I can’t understand this fear you humans have towards the Council. They only did things to help humans, and everyone that still knows about them is too terrified to even speak their name.”

As Zaff grew even more confused, Seth sighed, and his perception source started spinning again, an oppressive atmosphere descending upon the small room he was in.

“Kneel.” A single word, carrying an unquestionable authority, left Seth’s mouth, and Zaff’s knees quickly dropped to the floor, hard enough that his knees emitted snapping sounds.

A pained expression appeared on his face, but as much as he wanted to sit up, it was like his body was no longer under his control, and he remained kneeling.

“Good. Your loyalty to the Kingdom of Wrath will slowly fade, replaced with loyalty towards the newly born Kingdom of Endora .”

Zaff’s eyes trembled in a feeble attempt to struggle against the poison slowly invading his mind, but all he had ever cared about in this world was slowly being dragged from his heart.

“Please, spare me.” He muttered weekly, a pitiful look in his eyes, but Seth’s expression remained unchanging as he continued putting pressure on Zaff’s mind and body.

After struggling for a few more seconds, Zaff’s expression relaxed, and his eyes left Seth’s, bowing his head lower. “I understand.”

“Good.” Replied Seth with a smile as he sat up. “I want you to propose to your king that he should also take Otis on his journey north. Make everything in your power to convince the king to do so. You will also forget everything about this meeting once I’m gone.”

“Understood.” Replied Zaff once more, his dull sight never daring to leave the floor.

“This source really is something else.” Muttered Seth as he left the room and repeated the same hypnosis process with the other adviser.

Lastly, only his plans for the king remained, and Seth teleported quickly to his room. The king, contrary to his advisers, was ridding one of the palace maids inside his room.

The moans and grunts coming from behind the curtain surrounding the bed didn’t faze Seth as he walked forward and parted it open. The young king was happily smashing the young maid, whose eyes were closed in bliss as her mouth released melodious moans.

The king’s back was towards Seth, so he didn’t even notice an intruder in his room, while the main had her eyes closed and didn’t see it either.

With a sigh, Seth froze the maid’s mind in time before clearing his throat loudly. The young king was startled to hear a sound from the back and quickly stopped thrusting inside his maid as he turned around.

Once he spotted Seth, his face contorted in rage as he sat up, pulled out of the frozen maid, and lifted his hand to slap Seth.

“You dare - “

*Slap*

The loud sound of a slap resounded throughout the room, but it was not the way the young king had envisioned it would go. Seth had slapped him first, making King Icas spin twice on the bed, over the maid’s naked body, before falling right on his face by the side.

The king quickly stood up, looking quite comical with his fuming face and still hard rod, and said: “I’ll have your head, bastard. GUARDS!”

Seth remained standing there, arms crossed in front of his chest and a mocking smile on his lips. Icas seemed to get even angrier and rushed to hit Seth again, but the same thing repeated.

Sitting on the ground, one hand holding onto his swollen cheek, teardrops started forming at the corner of his eyes from the sheer pain coming from his face as he called once more for the guards, but no one came this time either.

Seeing that the king was starting to panic, Seth chuckled and said: “If I were to kill you now, do you think anyone would be able to help you?”

Icas started crawling away from Seth while at the same time heading closer to the door, but Seth ignored him as he continued: “Little king, this is the difference between kingdoms like Oath, Love, Life, Death, and yours. There, an ascended is always guarding the king, but killing you is as easy as swatting a fly off the wall here.”

“Get your head out of your ass, and don’t dare challenge me again, or the next time you do, I’ll simply kill you.”

The king barely now reached the door and moved his hand to open it, but to his horror, the door handle didn’t budge no matter how hard he pressed on it.

“Who, who are you?” asked Icas, fear already starting to grip his heart.

Seth smiled and replied: “Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. I apologize for that.”

“My name is King Seth of Endora. Ruler over the former Kingdom of Blood, now named the Kingdom of Endora. Nice to meet you, King of Wrath.”

Remembering his advisers’ words about the Council, Icas was so scared that his now flaccid rod started leaking yellow fluids on the floor under him.

Seth chuckled at the shameful display before saying: “Today was just a warning. Don’t make me come revisit you.”, and teleporting away.

Once back in his inn room, Seth smiled as he lay on the soft bed.

<Host, I didn’t want to bother you earlier, but I have some important information you might be interested in.>

‘Oh, what is it?’

The image of a man carrying a baby with an arm while ridding away from a red mist appeared in Seth’s sight. He looked at the video with a frown and asked: ‘Who is that? I don’t get it.’

<A man who had managed to kill a member of the blood race. The blood race had killed his wife, and he managed to track one of the killers to where his core lay before destroying it. The blood race was enraged and quickly started chasing him, but he took his daughter and rushed away>

‘I understand, but why would that be of any interest to me?’

<The man is part of an old knight family, which has fallen from grace and moved into a small village close to the Wrath Capital to live a quiet life. In the former timeline, he had lived peacefully with his family and died of old age, but since host’s interference this time, his wife has died, and he is now on the run.>

<While he had no affinity for any energy, his judgment, and strong will is not something usually found. Also, his daughter would grow up just as strong-willed as her father, and she will also have a fire affinity. She might turn even stronger in this timeline than in the past.>

‘I understand what you mean, but I am, after all, the reason behind this tragedy. Even if I lie and bring them under my wing, they might eventually turn against me if they find out the truth.’

The system didn’t reply, and Seth remained pondering as he watched the man being chased by the blood mist with a pondering look. With a sigh, Seth eventually sat up and blinked away from his room.

Gales was carrying his daughter in his arms and rushing his horse as fast as possible, but as his constant peeking backward could confirm, the mist was slowly catching up to him.

Looking down at the chubby baby crying in his arms, a sad look appeared on his face as he muttered. “I’m sorry, Isabelle; dad won’t be able to be there and see you grow up.”

Carefully tying the baby girl to the horse’s saddle, Gales patted the already tired steed and said: “Kramer, old pal, please take care of my girl. She’s all I have left.”

The horse seemed to have understood Gales as it neighed once and started running even faster.

Keeping himself from crying, Gales grabbed the longsword from the side and jumped off the horse’s back, raising it towards the bloody fog coming after him. There was no trace of fear in his eyes, only worry.

He worried that his daughter might not make it to the capital, but this was the best he could do. As long as he stalled the bloody calamity that had befallen the kingdom for a few minutes, he could get a better chance at life for his kid.

His eyes turning resolute, he even charged toward the fog, swinging his sword swiftly in a horizontal motion.

A clear space was cut inside the fog, but that did nothing much as he was soon completely surrounded by more fog.

“Hehehe.” A mocking laughter soon resounded from inside the fog, and the silhouette of a young man appeared in Gales’s face.

“You killed my brethren, and now, I will have my revenge. I’ll keep you alive so you can watch as I slowly suck the life away from your daughter.”

Gales gritted his teeth and swung his sword at the young man in front of him, but the blade just passed through his body, and nothing else happened.

“Hehe, careful with that, or you might hurt yourself.” Said the young man, and soon a small cut appeared on Gales’s arm. “See?”

Gales looked at the trail of blood slowly leaving his wound and circling around his arm with a frown before saying: “You foul creature. Even if you kill me today, for all the deeds you have done across the kingdom, someone will rise and put an end to your existence.”

“Maybe. Too bad you won’t be alive to see it. Ahaha.”

As the young blood race member kept laughing, another voice resounded throughout the bloody mist. “Are you sure about that?”

Turning around, he spotted Seth walking through the mist, a slight smile on his lips as he looked the blood race member up and down.

“Friend, run. These things can’t be killed without finding their hearts.” Yelled Gales, thinking he had somehow dragged someone else into his unfortunate fate.

Seth ignored Gales’s words as he kept walking toward the two. The blood young-ling seemed quite pissed at having his fun interrupted, and he quickly moved his fog to create thousands of needles, sending them toward Seth.

The needles were evident under the moonlight, but it was like Seth had not even seen them, walking forward calmly, his gaze never leaving the young blood race member.

“Careful.” yelled Gales again, but his words were once more ignored as the needles finally reached Seth’s body.

The blood race youngling’s smile froze on his face once he spotted the needles disappearing once they came in contact with Seth’s body and started summoning more, but no matter how many blood weapons he threw at Seth, all of them got wiped off by Seth’s destruction energy.

Still, with Seth reaching right in front of him, the blood race youngling didn’t seem scared as he licked his lips and said: “So you are one of those ascended? Good. I’ve always dreamed of feeding on one of you.”

Seth sighed and shook his head: “You really are the most idiotic race that has ever lived in these lands.”

Once his words ended, the young man’s body shattered, and he flowed to the ground, forming a small pool of blood.

Gales watched the show wide-eyed, barely able to make sense of anything, but he stopped carrying about it as he fell to his knees instantly.

“Sir Ascended, please save my daughter.”
