Upcoming stuff
Added 2022-07-27 08:16:39 +0000 UTCHi everyone, so I am trying to think about how to make Clear Code more financially stable so that I can do this properly full time. Sadly, paid courses pay much better than YouTube ads. Hence, I will do more of that but that doesn't mean I'll leave YouTube, far from it!
At least for the foreseeable future, I will make one large game a month and then work on paid courses on the side. Since paid courses pay for quite long times I will reevaluate after I have made a few courses and see how the finances look.
Obviously, you guys get all the courses for free :)
The paid courses I will try to do for this year: An HTML course and a python gui course (with PyQt / PySide). Early next year, once Godot 4 is out, I will also do a large course on that.
Upcoming YouTube tutorials: There is going to be a Stardew Valley style game coming next week (although it will be published on freecodecamp) and after that I will work on Mario Maker.
Is there any game or project you would like to see? Very much open to ideas!

A raycaster course would be a nice evolution from 2d graphics. A small first person dungeon crawler would be pretty cool. An online 2d multiplayer game would also be fun to see as well. Just to get the basics of creating a multiplayer game. Suggestion for patreon for more $$: Why don't you add a super basic "you only get access to what I am working on posts on the patreon" tier? Put it up for like 1$ and make patreon your main hub for news. I mean 1$ for updates on what you're doing is sure to make a lot of people just pitch in a buck to get news (insert "for the price of a cup of coffee" meme). From what I have seen from other patreons, the 1$ tier is often the one racking in half of the profits. But take this with a pinch of salt from a random guy on patreon... I ain't no marketing guru.

2022-08-09 22:02:44 +0000 UTCI would like to see a game like Dwarf Fortress, Rimworld or Going Medieval. There would be lot of topics to talk about, maybe way to much. Procedural world generation, pathfinding, an A.I. that checks a priority system for tasks to do... would be really interessting, but maybe way beyond my capabilities :) Keep going with your content, it is amazing and teaches me a lot of thing. Thank you.
